Don’t even think about staying here unless you are equipped with HAZMAT gear to wear as long as you stay. Look at the pictures and believe them, and don’t even think about whipping out one of those black light things! It used to be a Magnussen Hotel and Russians ‘owned’ it, Indians worked it and ran Russian call girls in and out every night. It was NASTY, unsafe, dark, and infested.

The outside of the hotel and lobby look nice and updated. The hallways show the hotel's age. The rooms look like they have been remodeled in the last 5 years, but the carpet shows it's age. The bathroom feels dirtier than it actually is due to the crappy tile grout work performed during the remodel. The sink and bathtub both drain very slowly which is annoying. The room door doesn't quite fit the door frame, so it takes some effort to close or open it. I told the hotel desk clerk about the drain issue and the door issue, and I was told it would be fixed during my stay. The issues were not fixed. The WiFi is fairly fast.
I would think twice before staying here again.

The pros to this hotel:
it is only a very short drive to the public Beach,
The pool is nice,
Free breakfast,
Fast wifi.

The cons:
Old,
Poor draining sinks and baths,
Feels a little dirty

Hotel room was dirty. Floor was hard wood and had not been mopped in a long time. Set my 1yo on the floor and five minutes on crawling later, see attached photo. Musty odor in room and stains on bed. Looks like water damage had been an issue in its past. Hopefully the hotel can fix it’s issues and help better serve the vacationers of the area. The location is excellent and the potential is great for this hotel.

I am not even high maintenance but this hotel was icky. The sheets were damp upon arrival, the floor was sticky, and there was a mildew smell. We thought it would be alright for only 2 nights but I wish we would have switched. Staff is not friendly and in fact, one was rude on multiple occasions when we simply walked from our room to our car. They push you to opt out of service and one employee was on the phone complaining every time I saw her (could hear her down the hall) - talking about how she is going to rush through her shift to get out of there before 11 AM!!!!

We stayed this week at Quality Inn. Very close to everything you could want to see in Gulf Shores. We must brag on the front desk clerk Jennifer. We was greeted with a smile everyday, and made feel right at home. Jennifer is very professional and a beautiful lady to add. Our room was always clean. Lobby & breakfast is above any hotel in the area.
