We were in 706 October 2018.
Location on the beach and literally at the heart of the Gulf Shores strip is the selling point of this property. Beach is amazing. Hercules rents folding chairs and umbrellas for $35/day. Literally touches the Pink Pony and Hangout, walking distance to Mikee's and the souvenir stores with the shark and octopus. The rooms are efficient with beautiful ocean views and decent sized balconies. Our kitchen had details like a corkscrew and cheese grater and ice maker (slow and loud) in the refrigerator.

Rooms are clean and there is dish tv with a blu ray player.
Wifi is okay but randomly drops out.

Downsides:
Only one night stand on the king bed is strange
Bath and a half are functional but very out of date and small
Beds were odd: no fitted sheets over a mattress that am guessing was nearing a time of replacement.
WORST EVER: Y'all got to fix the elevators!! Call buttons don't work. Wait 5-10 minutes makes you decide to tackle 5-10 flights of stairs to get to your room. Select a floor and have the machine ignore it and go the opposite direction? Get my luggage inside and have it refuse to move? Go to a different floor to call the elevator to the floor where your luggage cart is? Everyone agreed the worst experience was getting to and from your floor. Consider 2nd/3rd floors first just in case.

It is clearly not as nice as other Phoenix properties and I did miss having a washer & drier.

In spite of the elevators I'd recommend this as a budget option for your Gulf Shores experience especially if you have young kids to use the bunk beds in the hall.

Room tip: beach view, beach access, bunk beds, full kitchen, walking

Great location right in the Beach near shops and restaurants. The room was equipped nicely. Very friendly staff and was very prompt on fixing any concerns or questions that I had. My only complaint is how slow the elevator was and that the call buttons didn't always work. But overall it was a great stay, which made a great vacation.

My grand daughters requested “on the beach” as their one request. Our hotel was located in a very handy location near restaurants, beach & shopping. This made two girls very happy ! We hop to return soon.

Room tip: The sofa was a little uncomfortable! Only choice as second bed was geared for children (short bunks).

This hotel is like staying in a one bedroom condo that actually sleeps 6 if needed. My friend, who lives in another state, and I try to meet there and enjoy the views at least once a year. It is a very convenient location, close to so many wonderful restaurants, and lots of neat places to shop. If you want to take a day trip to Pensacola, you are only about 45 minutes away. The room is very nice with a fully equipped kitchen if you decide to cook. There is also a half bath off the kitchen that is very convenient. Our favorite is always relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the beautiful view of the beach and listening to the water - awesome! It is right next to The Hangout which has been added to since we were last there and would be a beautiful place for a wedding! We loved just taking a walk and sitting on the benches to see those stunning sunsets! I would highly recommend this hotel! As my title says, the beaches in this Alabama area are the best kept secret on the gulf coast!

Small, old but clean. Just know the Hangout next door is loud until 11 pm. Small, pool no hot tubs, kiddie pool. Close to restaurants and stores. Kitchen was good except no cookie sheet for biscuits. Ice maker was great!!
