For the price we paid, which did not include food, we expected more. We had a family room facing the hills.
There were good points : the view from our room was outstanding, on a clear day kanchenjunga is significantly visible. The room was airy and both room and bathroom were clean. The food was good too.
However there were issues such as the TV did not work, we did not have two cups and tea in our room for the two adults, the room had a water leak. Other than the TV, the rest of our issues were dealt with, but for the price we paid we expected better, for example it took ages to get tea.
Most frustrating was the hotel were unable in assisting us to book toy train tickets, we had been advised by more than one source that the good hotels can help. In part due to unreliable Wi-Fi we had to rearrange our one and only morning to sort out tickets ourselves.
We are likely to visit Darjeeling again, but whilst the view from here is good and it is comfy will find alternative as the price is too high for what is offered.

Our Room was upgraded, with a breath taking view of the snow covered mountains and the valley. Very well furnished and, of course, a well equipped bath. The room setting was adjusted to suit our requirements. The entire staff was very courteous and helpful.

The hotel was way below our expectation when we reached. It was a cold evening and drizzling outside. As we reached, our rooms were quite small and cold. The hotel is not conditioned centrally(might be true for all hotels in Darjeeling) and a heater is provided in each room. In spite of the heater, the room and especially the washrooms were quite cold and difficult to use. The washrooms, especially the bathing are is very small. One can barley stand and bathe.

The view from the rooms is good. If its a valley facing room, one can see the peaks of Kanchenjunga in the morning.

The restaurant staff is very hospitable and serves good food and attends to all your requests. The restaurant closes by around 9.30 or 10 PM at night.

The spa is good and one can get a massage done to relax after the tiring trip.

Room tip: Valley view room

Hotel rooms are clean and staff is very courteous. Food quality is good. no need to look out and walking from market. Only thing we didn't liked is that room size is small and valley view rooms are not actually a valley view.

We visited Darjeeling in Mar2018 and chose this hotel for our stay. The hotel location is 10 min walking distance from main market however, walking is not very fun since the roads are very congested and there is hardly any space left to walk.

Our room was quite small and the bed was also very small considering that we had 18 month old kid. I also felt the room was quite small. No extra amenities like Activity Center or Kid's Area so it was kind of difficult to kill the time if you have to stay at room for some reason.

However, having said all these our room had balcony(though very small) which gave amazing view to Kanchanzunga on one of the days. No complains.

Room tip: Small rooms but great views if you have got the room
