Nice hotel in a great city centre location!

Comfy rooms, welcoming staff, nice restaurant on the roof with lovely views of the old city!

The hotel is a nice taste of Indian hospitality when compared the presence of western hotels in the city.

Generally, tripadvisor reviews point us to the right property. However, this isn't. Detailing here:
Room: The room was really bad, felt like a lodge. Also, it wasn't AC. There were a few rooms in same property which looked way better and maintained, for the same price.
Service: This is the worst thing. The room wasn't cleaned properly for any of the 3 days we stayed inspite of us telling it specifically. Also, sometimes it takes 30 min to bring drinking water to your room.
Restaurant: Food is delicious, but you may die of hunger before it comes on table. That's because the restaurant is mismanaged. It takes a lot of time to take order and then deliver it. Also, the place is overcrowded in evening.
The worst part was that there are rats in the restaurant area, and one of them jumps on you while you are eating/sitting.
Owners: Well the only problem with them was that they tried to host a family gathering along with an almost-full occupancy hotel in the same restaurant. What that led to was huge delays for everybody, except of course for their family which had to get importance. They should avoid doing things beyond restaurant kitchen capability.

Overall, despite of good rating here, please avoid this. This can again become an amazing property if these pointers are taken care of.
P.S.: I could even see the front desk staff not talking properly to a few customers as well. Rude attitude is not acceptable when customers are talking politely, regardless of whether you could do anything about their booking or not!

We stayed at Kalyan for 2 nights and we can warmly recommend the hotel to everyone staying in Jaipur. The rooms are clean and big and the rooftop is beautiful and cozy with Indian music, lights and a restaurant serving food for every taste.

Clean rooms with private bathrooms, hot water and great location for getting to the train station. We got the cheapest room and it was very noisy and hot with no AC and damp smelling room but we were looking for somewhere cheap so it was ok.

The roof terrace is the best part of the hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful views and great music.

We had breakfast and dinners here and they were all great. The best things on the menu are: banana and muesli with fresh yogurt (sooo good!) aloo tomato and our favourite pea and cashew nut curry with plain naan. All of it so tasty.

Very helpful front desk who changed money and booked driver for us.
