Need to check opening times as most shops not open till after 11.00. Did not feel such a high end shopping place really did itself a favour by having a tired or even shabby appearance. Individual shops are painting the sections outside only their own stores which made the others look even more down trodden.
People very helpful and friendly. Make sure you record the Block Number as it is easy to become confused as all buildings are in identical Georgian style.

Thank John G

I am not sure what the fuss is about this place. It certainly didn't hold any great delights for us. There are branded shops that you find anywhere else so not really worth the visit. We went on a Sunday and most shops were open. Prices seem a little cheaper than in Europe.

We went there in the evening. Safe area, lot of shops. However, lot of indian people who want to rip you off somehow. So not that special/ romantic place.

Called CP by the locals, it is a shopping avenue with colonial buildings. You can get every branded items you name it including various travel agencies, banks and financial institutions. There are a lot of restaurants of all tastes. The avenue is surrounded by two circles - inner circle and outer circle with several blocks of shops which is covered by the varandah in front. So, you can walk around in the shade avoiding sun or in rainy season. After the commonwealth games, CP's areas have been face lifted. It is nice place to chill out with families and friends and also doing some window shopping. There is a big well maintained park at the center where several events/music concerts are organized from time to time. Under the park, there is a underground huge market called Palika Baazar selling varied types of goods including clothing, saree, electronic goods etc. Be warned that you will be approached time and again by various agents offering several options of shopping etc. Just use a polite NO and big Thank you. Timing: 1030 to 2000 hrs (Sunday closed). Metro: Rajiv Chowk (Blue and Yellow Line)

Great shopping for brand names and lots of restaurant options to choose from. Lots of tuk-tuk's and taxi's to and from hotels.
