Owner description: This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal and many other Mughal architecture and garden complexes in India.

“peaceful place”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

beautiful peaceful place and interesting architecture, a great place to climb and watch the sunset, feels rural and removed from the city's chaos. Definitely worth a visit

“Beautiful...Feral dogs in facility”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

We found the tomb to be beautiful..however there were several feral dogs roaming the grounds..although they didn't mean any harm..I am just not sure if a UNESCO site should be allowing that.

“Beautiful”

Understand why people say it's a mini Taj Mahal. Lovely walk to the actual tomb and clean and well kept. Amazing stone latticework.

“In some ways better than the Taj”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

We had a lovely couple of hours touring Jumayun's Tomb on a gloriously sunny February day. Even though we arrived late in the morning there were not so many tourists, and the spacious gardens surrounding the tomb itself were a great way to get away and see the splendour at a distance. This is a Delhi must-see, for sure.

“Little brother of Taj”
Reviewed 2 March 2012

If you want to compare Mughal's architecture, it's a right choice. This monument was built before Taj and in red stone. Also if you cross the garden you will find small entrance to the hidden part of monument and explore ancient well and stalls.
