The stay was for official work in the embassies and I did not think twice before boking in the Hotel Ashoka, due to it's proximity to the embassies.
The place has an old world charm. This also means that maintaining such a huge old property is going to be tough. However the staff seems to do their best with the limited resources available (being an ITDC property and bureaucracy controlled).
The rooms were tidy and spacious. The Oudh restaurant was very good where I had my lunch and dinner through out the stay of 2 nights.
The personnel in the premises were helpful (especially the travel desk) and the services in the restaurant was of good quality.More
