Dear friends,
We stayed here with 14 friends while visiting auto expo. Hotel staff was very helpfull. Day we reached it had rained in january, so lot of electricity cuts. This hotel had peacefull genrator. But the few near by hotels did not have same. Arakashan rd is a very noisy place, if you can afford expensive hotels dont stay on this street. There are no near by metro stations. Rikshaw takes 30-50 rupees to reach metro station. There are more than 100 hotels in this road. All the trafic noise is too much. Malls and other things are very far. Food at the hotel roof top restaurant is very nice. We had earlier booked to stay for 5 nights but our work was over. We shortned our stay for only 3 nights, the recepetion did not say any thing. They are very helpfull.
Over all good experience considering the room charge they take. Will visit this hotel again if i had work in this area.

Three of us stayed in this hotel for 5 nights during January 2012. The weather was cool with sunshine and highest temperatures mainly from midday to 3pm and sun setting around 5.30pm Average temperatures around 15c. We booked this hotel through expedia.co.uk but understood a direct boooking with the hotel would have been slightly cheaper. The hotel is about 40 minutes from the airport. The name of the town is Paharaganj which is just 5 minutes from the New Delhi metro station. Connaught Place, Karol Bagh and Chandni Chowk are all between 5 - 15 minutes taxi ride away.

Upon arrival to the airport we did not recive our free hotel pick up as was requested through expedia. However the hotel staff sincerely apologised and we was satisfied with their attempt to resolute the problem by paying for the taxi which we had to order at the airport.

We was greeted by staff and showed to our room, there was small problem with the room being not as we expected but as soon as we addressed this the management, namely Kampeet provided us with the room to suit our needs. Rohit was also helpul in this situation.

Throughout our stay we have been overwhelmed with the courtersy the staff show and attention provided to any enquiries.

The hotel provide free buffet breakfast comprimising of a small but good quality food including english and indian choices.

The hotel was very kind in offering to serve us breakfast to our hotel early in the morning (6am) as we had planned to set off to Agra for the day trip to see the Taj Mahal.

There is a excursions expert based in the hotel who provides foreign currency which we found accessible and useful. The member of staff is Sandeep and he also provided taxis for touring and one way trips. Sandeep also provides useful travel advice.

The hotel was cleaned and tided everyday and overall cleansiness of the hotel standards were high for a 3 star hotel.

A very good plus point of this hotel is that you will be given free access to wireless internet which meant we was able to stay in contact with family and friends from the UK using Skype.

The staff, hotel building and distance to attractions made our stay in this hotel pleasurable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Enjoy your stay!

Just stayed there with my partner and father...From the minute we walked through the door we were auspiciously welcomed and taken to our rooms, The rooms were well equipped with all amenities. Bathroom was clean and we had no issues, The restaurant is extremely basic and not really up to par with the rest of the hotel standards. However, a decent breakfast is laid out and fills the spot well,

Bad points for some....just one! It's on a very busy street of the main road and noise can be off putting but good insulated windows helped keep the noise at bay.

Like my title suggests, good place for the price!!!

We chose the Hotel Aura from the photo's and reviews on trip advisor. Also, it is close (250m) to the delhi rail station and we needed an early start next day to travel. I suspect that the review by "alwaystravelxx" is from someone in the management of the hotel because 1rachelw is absolutely spot on when she says that the rooms are dirty. We had to insist that the bedding was changed and the thought of using the spa bath left me cold with fear of infectious deseases. The staff are extremely friendly but the place is absolutely filthy, by our standards. The food is not too wonderful either, and whilst almost impossible to prove, I beleive we both had food poisoning as a rsult of eating there. We will never stay there again.

Room Tip: We would not stay there again

Dear Guest,
Many thanks for your post at TripAdvisor. We really appreciate your comments
which help us to improve. We glad to know that you found our staff friendly
and helpful but on the other end it is very sad to know about your unhappy
stay. Your point of hot water is acceptable as of winter season the
temperature is very cold and it takes 5-10 mins to run hot water in the
room. The only reason of delay is the water remaining in pipeline of the
hotel is very cold. We totally regret about another point. We are very
professional and works hard to provide the best services to our Guest. The
comment posted by "alwaystravelxx" is the guest from Canada who stayed with
us twice with her sister and friends. It is very unpleasant if you claim the
reviews are posted by Management. We have noted your points and promise you
these complaints will not take place in your next visit. Hope to see you
again.

Thanks & regards,

Team, Hotel Aura
