India habitat centre is a unique attraction located in central delhi. You have to be a member or stay there as guest to enjoy the full range of facilities. But there are many areas open to non members.
It is a cultural centre, a very rich library, some excellent restaurants, a boutique hotel, a performing art centre, an art gallery and much more. If anything it is comparable only to Sydney opera house on land.
To begin with it has two of delhi's finest restaurants- the Deck (continental cuisine) and Oriental octopus. Delhi o Delhi is an Indian cuisine restaurant with one of the finest bars 'Pastime' with a view in central delhi. IHC is located on the prime real estate in Lutyen's delhi and believe me it is built opulently but aesthetically. It is a place to be seen in by the delhi's hoi polloi. Always bustling with stage performances and art exhibitions, most of these open to non members as well. The attached hotel has cheapest rooms in its class in Delhi but you have to book through a member. The place has ample parking spaces and its free.
If you are not a member you have not arrived and if you have not visited it while in delhi, you have missed the soul of Lutyens delhi.
