City Center of Kandy, 5min walk to train station, 15 min to Tooth Temple.
Street, building are not really inviting but surprise is behind the doors. Nice, cozy reception with tables and kitchen for excellent breakfast with really good eggs, plenty of fruits!

Going up the stairs not inviting again but rooms are well designed, quite modern, cozy, clean including small but functional and modern bathroom.

Service friendly, honest (although that they've been selling seat tickets for Kandy Perahera festival for 8 / 15 kRs, they clearly told us that if we're looking for cheaper seats, they don't have it but that it should be possible to get some slightly cheaper directly in the city (which was true).. I really appreciate this honesty (for the question asked directly)

good located close to the train station in kandy, great breakfast with local fresh fruits and very friendly staff. the rooms were simple and rather small, but clean enough with the basics for a short stay.

Booked for 2 nights as it was near the train station and bus terminal from google map. And true enough, we found a short cut at the corner of the bus stop to the hotel.

A family hotel served with love and kindness. The owner reminded us to keep our bags in front of us if we were going to watch Perahera as it would be crowded.

Room was really basic but it was equipped with AC, hot water, wifi, bottled water. Nothing beats having hot shower and they replenished bottled water for us generously.

One thing to note, there wasnt many plugs for us to charge our phones and no hangers/wardrobe to hang our clothes. There was only 1 plug at the door. We didnt ask for hangers but perhaps they would have solution for us if we asked.

Breakfast was simple but freshly cooked! and they were willing to serve brekkie earlier for us as we needed to head out earlier.

During check in, we were handed over the hotel name card and showed us simple guides/directions/attractions. Appreciate it as it helped us in our way-finding

A good stay if you are looking for a fuss-free & friendly hotel

Spent 2 nights at sevana hotel, where we enjoyed the hotels close proximity to the city center and restaurants. Hotel is clean and a great value, as is their breakfast. Would recommend for anyone passing through kandy. The staff is friendly and helpful with advice on trains and restaurants.

We are a mid 30y couple living in and traveling a lot across Asia. In general, we are willing to spend more budget for a exceptional and unique experience but most of the time prefer good value for money.

We stayed one night in Kandy before taking the train to Ella next day (by the way the train is a must see!) The hotel is professionally managed very central location with a lovely prepared breakfast. The room was clean with enough space, a bit noisy due to the traffic outside but all in good shape and fine for a 1-2 night stay. Price (around USD 50) value is good and we can recommend a stay here.
