This is a small, humble dar with just a few rooms and a rooftop terrace breakfast area with huge views over the blue city and the surrounding mountains. The young family who run the dar and live on the bottom floor are incredibly nice. Spending time with them was a highlight of our Morocco trip. The breakfasts they made for us were varied and delicious. Our room was simple but nice.
Getting your luggage here is a bit of a challenge, but do-able, and there are usually young men around happy to earn some dirhams helping you find your way and carry bags up the tough spots if you need. A taxi can get you close, then there is a level pedestrian alley and a substantial set of steps winding up to the dar. These blue steps are probably the single most photographed spot in Chefchaouen - you’ll see. Great location, and deep in the medina away from the large cluster of other lodging to the east. More
