An exotic and beautiful place well worth visiting. Stores with many traditional things for good prices compared to Marrakesh.

This mountain city in the north of Morocco was probably the prettiest place I have seen in a long time. It was so special with all the different colours blue. Our guide told us that they repaint every three months! Be prepared for a climb since this city is built up against the mountain!
Worth a visit - worth a detour to go and see it!!

About a mile and a half uphill from the bus station, the Chefchaouen medina is small and easygoing, difficult--but not impossible!--to get lost in. Lots of not-too-expensive places to stay. It is built on a hill so you are always heading up or down. Beautiful views at the top by the river. The predominance of blue and the friendliness of the people make for a peaceful old town. A nice break from the big cities. Would be a nice spot for kids.

Gorgeous. Just wander through the streets at day and night time. Every little street is breath taking. Easy relaxed. Don't need a map. People friendly. Local restaurants have fabulous food. Would go back again
