Very nice and high-standard safari camp with excellent restaurant and very friendly and professional staff. Wonderful pool and spa area, with the pool water being a bit on the colder end. The tents are well equipped and organized with views to the local waterhole. Travelled with our 9 year old daughter and felt safe and well-cared for throughout. I will always recommend to stay 2 nights at least

Wildlife in Tsavo is spread over vast areas but the ever changing landscapes and vegetation make up for animal density. Here you feel you really see them in natural habitat. We saw plenty of Giraffes and zebra, the occasional elephants, leopard and plenty of other species like hippos in Mzima Springs (relatively close to the camp)

we are visiting Severin Safari Camp since 9 years and never regretted to stay more than one night..... a lovely setting, a beautiful camp, an exciting place to watching wild life from the restaurant, perfect and friendly service.......good international (German inspired) food... it is a pity that Jürgen and Manja (the two managers) are about to leave for good, because they made this place so special...... we hope that the new managers will meet the high standard of facilities an services....

Room Tip: you should try one of the extraordinary junior suits, with outside shower...watching wildlife at night at the nearby waterhole.....

We stayed in this beautiful Camp while our safari to the Tsavo National Parks. You dream about how a Safari Camp has to be? Simply choose the Severin Camp: nice, fully equipped tent-bungalows, perfect meals, german organized staff and wild life background while you have your dinner. Nice fact: you'll need a torch and a whistle to get together with your personal Massai, to the main building during the night since the wohle camp is in the middle of the wildnes.

We returned to Severin having visited 2 years ago - to find it the same lovely retreat in Tsavo West.
Severin in a jewel in W Tsavo, the bomas are clean and welcoming, as is the staff. The Managers have become very special friends of ours and it was wonderful to see them again and enjoy catching up.
Unlike the Mara, there is more foliage in the Tsavo area - which results in fewer travelers. The animals are less habituated to vehicles which just means you need to LOOK for the animals but they are there.
Severin has probably the nicest location, the best food and the most interesting layout of the camps we have visited. Our cabin was located between 2 waterholes which gave us views of a variety of wildlife particularly early morning/just at dusk. It is possible to just sit on the deck and watch the animals come in.
There are giraffe, lions, zebra - elephants (quite shy in this area), eland, waterbuck - you can find it all here.
I cannot imagine that anyone would not love this area and this place. The camp is lovely (there is a bonfire at night) and you are, of course, escorted after dark. We had about 50 Cape buffalo at the waterhole one evening to entertain us.
Thank you to our Camp Managers - charming lovely people we count as friends! Would love to return - the camp is wonderful to sit and enjoy what happens in the African Bush. You have created a paradise - a delightful retreat for those who stay with you.

Room Tip: Severin has Convention center and a lovely pool. Beautiful grounds-bar/restaurant overlooks the waterhole and grassland.
