The hotel is well known in Vung Tau, but the experience does not live up to the 4* tag.
Our room located by the hill side. Room is nice with all amenities but bathroom lack ventilation so toilet smell stayed in OUR ROOM for the whole visit. We also need our key card to activate room's electricity (and AC) which is very annoying since this is summer in Vietnam and the heat is killing us! We went out for a 30 minutes walk and went back, our room is hot like a sauna...
not enjoyable at all! Also if you plan to use wifi, stay away from the hillside! The connection is bad(both for 3G and wifi) and nobody seem to care to fix it (or they can't?)
Overall we enjoy Vung Tau, but not Lan Rung :((

Nice setting but this hotel needs to be updated. We kept getting locked out of our bathroom and the solution offered was that housekeeping would come and spend 20 minutes “breaking in” with a spoon each time... unacceptable!
Also, beware of the customer service in the spa centre. I didn’t get the treatment I asked for. Not great at speaking English, (which is more than fine) but I was given the impression that the receptionist understood exactly what I was saying so just be cognisant of it.
Below average breakfast.
Nice pool.

Spent 5 days at Lan Rung Resort after traveling throughout Veitnam and Cambodia , a great place to unwind after being on the move for several weeks. Huge complex right on the beach.lots of staff. Just a short taxi ride to the city centre. Great restaurant.

We spent 2 nights at this resort. This resort is divided in two sections by a four lane street. It is built on a hillside so a lot of stairs should be expected. All services are on the lower side (pool, dining room, coffee shop, sauna...). The room we got is very comfortable and well equiped, somewhat of average size. The bathroom is clean. Breakfast buffet has vietnamese and western choices and is good. The restaurant offers a good choice of vietnamese food at reasonable price. There is a private supervised small sandy beach with rocks on both ends. There is also a larger public beach next to the resort. This place offer a good escape from the big city.

Good room but it looked vintage. Staff was lovely and the price was reasonable .After check out time , we enjoyed lunch in the restaurant near the beach . I love the street in front of the hotel - it's peaceful and awesome.
