Thinking long and hard about how to review this resort. If you are looking for a nice pool and amazing views then this is the hotel for you, because that is what you are paying for. This hotel is a little off centre, about 12min walking from the pier nestled upon a hill. Note Phi Phi is a walking village with no tuk tuk or scooters except for security personnel. The resort is basically a bunch of villas spread up on the mountain. The higher you for the better the view however be ready for the walk up hill... We were winded every time. At first glance of the room I was afraid. Not the cleanest, basic amenities; 2 soaps, some cups, 2 towels; that's about it. Granted after seeing some of the other properties around town this one looked better and better lol. It is a moderate accommodation, if you want first class there are but be ready to pay quite a bit. Cons are no safe (only at front desk), no coffee in room, only 1 beach/pool towel per day, cleanliness, lack of shower head pressure, no breakfast, light air conditioning, 3 tv channels you can barely see and no racks to dry your clothes. Pros are the view, the wifi, the 2 chair and table on balcony, the in room fridge, the bottled water, the infinity pool, location, tour booking on site as well as a restaurant and it was safe day and night. On a final note I would like to talk about the staff... Incredibly nice people. Always greeted us with a good morning and good night. Their English wasn't the greatest but they sure did try. They helped us as much as they could. There was one staff member in particular that stood out. A teenage boy that was always on the property, so sweet. When we left he brought our bags to the pier, it was raining so much God bless him he was soaked by the time we got there. With all the commotion we forgot a very important bag in the carriage, this kid actually boarded the ferry to find us and bring us our bag. There are many things you can pay for, but honesty and integrity aren't one of them. If you are ok with carrying your money and passport around town, and you want a very nice pool with amazing views then I would recommend this hotel. If you are the type of person that gets fussy about your accommodations stay somewhere else. Note: You will hear some thumping from the music on the beach, honestly we were so tired at night we passed out but if your a light sleeper bring ear plugs.
