Phi Phi ViewPoint Resort
Ranked #28 of 39 Hotels in Ko Phi Phi Don
Reviewed 8 September 2017 via mobile

Thinking long and hard about how to review this resort. If you are looking for a nice pool and amazing views then this is the hotel for you, because that is what you are paying for. This hotel is a little off centre, about 12min walking from the pier nestled upon a hill. Note Phi Phi is a walking village with no tuk tuk or scooters except for security personnel. The resort is basically a bunch of villas spread up on the mountain. The higher you for the better the view however be ready for the walk up hill... We were winded every time. At first glance of the room I was afraid. Not the cleanest, basic amenities; 2 soaps, some cups, 2 towels; that's about it. Granted after seeing some of the other properties around town this one looked better and better lol. It is a moderate accommodation, if you want first class there are but be ready to pay quite a bit. Cons are no safe (only at front desk), no coffee in room, only 1 beach/pool towel per day, cleanliness, lack of shower head pressure, no breakfast, light air conditioning, 3 tv channels you can barely see and no racks to dry your clothes. Pros are the view, the wifi, the 2 chair and table on balcony, the in room fridge, the bottled water, the infinity pool, location, tour booking on site as well as a restaurant and it was safe day and night. On a final note I would like to talk about the staff... Incredibly nice people. Always greeted us with a good morning and good night. Their English wasn't the greatest but they sure did try. They helped us as much as they could. There was one staff member in particular that stood out. A teenage boy that was always on the property, so sweet. When we left he brought our bags to the pier, it was raining so much God bless him he was soaked by the time we got there. With all the commotion we forgot a very important bag in the carriage, this kid actually boarded the ferry to find us and bring us our bag. There are many things you can pay for, but honesty and integrity aren't one of them. If you are ok with carrying your money and passport around town, and you want a very nice pool with amazing views then I would recommend this hotel. If you are the type of person that gets fussy about your accommodations stay somewhere else. Note: You will hear some thumping from the music on the beach, honestly we were so tired at night we passed out but if your a light sleeper bring ear plugs.

My friends and I were stayed here for 3 days 2 nights. The resort located just only 10 minutes walk from the centre and only 3 from beach party place. The location is good. We booked the standard rooms from the tour operator at the pier. However, our rooms are located up to the hill, then we agreed to upgrade to ocean view. The room is big enough for 3-4 people, but simple. The bathroom is large with hot shower and basil. No shampoo nor soap but that not a big deal for us cause you just buy it somewhere in the centre. TV is provided but we never watch it once. Please be aware check out time is 11:00 am between 10:30 the staff will knock on the door to ask if you would like to extend stay or check out at 11:00! Oh, price of the room excluded breakfast but there is a restaurant there. Breakfast start with 130 THB I would recommend this resort and if we are going back to Phi Phi we definitely stay here.

the rooms are old but very large and fairly clean.
you get new towels and the room is cleaned every day. the staff is nice and friendly and there is a nice small pool.
the downside s are the many MANY stairs you have to climb to get to the room, and the location, which is a bit off-center.
good for the price.

We had a water front villa and loved it, the view was fantastic. The staff went over and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. They were a wealth of local information.
The music didn't bother us as we were at the parties and bars ourselves.
The pool was a great place to relax when we rose to greet the day.
Looking forward to returning in the future.

I really enjoy my time in this hotel, staff was so friendly, cheap price and amazing food for $2 in the restaurant!
It's the good place to stay close to the center of Phiphi for a normal price and feel at home.
