One of the best places to visit at Rameshwaram. Dhanushkodi is about 20 KM from the main temple. You shall drive through a fantastic route. On the way you can stop for the kodandarama temple. You will also set some of the remains of the greatest tragedy in Dhanushkodi like the old railway station, tank and the church. You can see the sea on both the sides and park your vehicle at the roundabout. You can then walk up to the southeastern tip of India. you shall surely enjoy the water, waves, beauty and the walk.

Boasts a beach where 2 oceans meet. Good time spent with family enjoying beach activities. The place apparently shuts down after 5 before dark.

When you reach here... You will feel so good And happy to know that it's the southern most part of India... You will love to spend some time here.. on the beach..

There are so many temples around this place of Lord ram... It is said that the Ram setu (Bridge) was made from this place only... Though it's not visible... There are 2-3 Shiv Ling in the Ocean.. near the temples... It is said that Lord Hanuman bought this ling and Lord Ram Praised this ling before departure to Srilanka... But that's not True, The Ling has been Drawn in the Ocean Centuries Ago...

So many people will try to fool you by showing you Rocks Floating on the water, but all this things are trick...

But there are so many things you will get to know in this place related to mythology...

A visit to Rameshwaram is incomplete without dhanushkodi a place where India end meeting point of two oceans one bay of Bengal with great Indian ocean. from Rameshwaram take a taxi for rs 200 to dhanuskhodi and back on the way get darshan of laxmanam theertham where lord shi ram crowned vibishna. take 2 to 3 hrs to explore the beach. on the way you will get some shops offering cooked fishes and some goods made up of sea materials like mirrors decorative items hair clips jewelry, keyrings etc. you will also get coconut water there. walk around the beach and Sri Lanka is just 19 km from there. but there is no settlement as it is declared as unsafe zone my govt. due to tsunami so one can visit there until 5 to 6 pm only after which it is closed.
