One should visit this place once in a life time. The temple is very well maintained. If you come to Rameshwaram in the evening, then, you can visit the temple in the evening and see all the gods and goddess in the temple premises. You can go with special Darshan by paying Rs.50 or you can go for regular darshan. Any way evening the crowd will be less. The temple starts closing around 8 p.m. You can talk to guide and agree for next day morning bath at the temple. The ticket per person would be Rs. 25/- and then per person guide would ask for about 100 to 150 rupees. Visit the temple around 4.45 a.m. For a special spatica ling Darshan. Then visit agni theetham for a holy dip and then have batch from the 22 well water. The water from each well is different in taste and temperature. It will be wonderful experience. Have Darshan of all the idols and prey. End with meditation

Very famous Shiva temple and must visit when you are around
Rameswaram. As per history, Lord Rama himself constructed the temple which has longest corridor 197 metres with around 1200 pillars.

We go to see Mani Darshan at 4.30 am then we take bath in Agni Theertham (sea). Then we come back in wet clothes and take bath in 22 diffrent Theettham. It will take more then one hour but it is very pleasrnt by doing this your Paap washed out. After this we change the cloth and wear fresh dress. Then our guide Mr R. Munna suggest us to do some pooja. So we did Rudrabhisek by paying Rs 1500/-. After this pooja we went main shiva temple and do special Darshan . This is very memorable time and we feel that we are standing in a place where Lord Ram was sitting.
