This is a must to do in Munnar as you come across varieties of tea being manufactured from same leaf. This tour gives a overview of munnar history too with a short video film.

For all the tea overs, this would surey be a high. Get to know how the tea is being made, best quality tea lessons and how to drink that perfect cup of tea. We bought a bunch of different kinds of tea ranging from Green tea to regular tea to flavored tea packets. The location as well is just fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this museum. Based in an old factory building it is a working museum and tells the story of tea in the Kannan Devan Hills really well and in an engaging way. The tour is a little disjointed but interesting nevertheless. The tea sample tasting is very pleasant. The shop is too small but persevere and buy some tea. Good value and good memories.

If you're even remotely interested in seeing how the tea is harvested, where it came from or the history of tea in this area, go here. They also have tasting. Staff if friendly and helpful and you can learn anyting about tea you want to know. It's a simple little place but very informative. And the gift shop while simple also has awsome gifts. You can buy white, green and black tea. Flavored tea and rose tea ... rose water and all kinds of wonderful things that make great gifts for yourself and others.

Fascinating look at the history of tea in the area, the (former) British dominance, and the growing and processing of the tea then and now. Enlightening!
