Decided to visit this place between X-mas & new year. Many other popular places nearby in Panjim were overflowing with diners with minimum waiting period of close to one hour at peak time & were pleasantly surprised to find that we were the only visitors at this location. However, we learned that popular items bloggers mentioned about were not available & menu board required some corrections. We managed with whatever was available & it was the costliest bill per person in a group of 10 that we came across without ordering anything exotic. Blamed it on beef crisis!
This place is close to Caculo mall. It is on the main road with roadside parking. The entrance has transparent plastic curtains & if you do not get running water in the wash basin the waiter runs for it between adjacent kitchen. Most of the servers are from India. The cashier location is strategic to keep a close watch on diners. There is TV on the wall which was not working.
Fish croquet was having a strong fishy aftertaste of Indian Mackerel. Quantity of many items served was just enough for one person. The place is tiny which you may like if you fancy Elvis, Boney M, Beatles framed on the wall.

Went for lunch two days in a row. Service is fairly quick but the food is delicious and authentic Goan. Pork sorpotel, tongue roast, prawn pulaw, beef chilli fry were all very good. Small place with 6 tables but neat and clean.

This is the place for authentic goan food. Very reasonable priced. The owner always is there to serve you with a smile.

Pinto Bar is a tiny bar located in St. Inez, Panjim. It has tast bites, the salted tounge bread and sausage bread was tasty but what really took the cake was the stew, macaroni with pork and beef, it was one of those dishes that makes you miss your grand mother! while we sat and ate there, Moses the chef and owner of Pinto Bar, played some nostalgic Goan and Portugese music that really set the mood for the food!

I was once in person and asked to make lunch box to eat in the household. In three times, the stew was amazing. The place is not big, but the friendliness of Mr. Pinto is contagious. He and his wife received us very well and I recommend enough for those who want to eat not so stew, but other dishes are also offered
