The building is an attraction for the Architectural buff.
There was an art exhibition when we visited. They have ample parking. No entrance fees.
There is an auditorium here where music performances happen.

Best place to dwell in entertainment. Only amphitheater in panjim that has some or the other quality event happening. So if are around and free just drop in at kala acadami and you wont be disappointed.

I visited the academy for a couple of dance performances recently. The first one was in the auditorium and it had excellent lighting and sound. Seats were comfortable. The next one was in the amphitheater. It was not easy to access since there seems to be only one entrance and seating is on concrete steps. There is no restriction on movement in the audience and therefore one gets disturbed by people walking in and out all the time

We have been to Kala academy countless times whether it was to see art exhibitions, plays, or dances and it is a really nice place. The building was designed by architect Charles Correa and it looks awesome. It has an outdoor auditorium and a couple of inside ones, as well as a couple of galleries and a little canteen for snacks.
