Sofitel is nicely French , yet the employees speak numerous languages. Lovely beach front suite. Great shower with doors that will open to an enclosed garden for a bit of nature . Nice lanvin products for bathing. Excellent buffet breakfast everything from Japanese breakfast to French crepes to American style bacon etc.
Beach quiet excellent snorkeling . The staff is friendly accommodating genuine.
Only negative the card system for beach towels . A bit Silly these towels are run of the mill and at a property of this level , who wants the silly towels. We have nicer ones in our homes.
Other wise a nice property

We have just returned from another two weeks in paradise at the Sofitel Ia Ora. I just can't say enough about the kind employees at the hotel, the beautiful lagoon and the whole experience.
The employees....the best! The Tahitians are such kind, loving and warm and happy people. They make you feel at home. It is the two weeks in the year I renew my soul. The employees can't do enough for you, one of the ladies at the front desk, after our Air France flight was cancelled told us she didn't sleep the night before worrying about us and came in early to make sure we had a plan to get home! Now that is above and beyond the call of duty!
The hotel...the bungalows are great, large, Tahitian with a French flair. Great bathrooms with shower doors that open to fresh breezes. The grounds are beautiful and lush.
The lagoon...best hotel on the island for snorkeling! We saw spotted eagle rays every morning, we saw all kinds of puffer fish, moray eels, flounders and octopus. You can take a piece of bread and hundreds of tropical fish of all colors will eat right out of your hand.
The breakfast Buffet is wonderful with worlds best and funniest omelet maker. There are fresh tropical fruits, hot and cold items, meats, exotic juices, cheese, Japanese food, breads of all kinds and sweets too.
We've been to Moorea many years and have checked all the other hotels out and the Sofitel is the best. It also has the best location, close to the airport and ferry docks. (Along with best lagoon for snorkeling) Save up your money and go, you won't be sorry!

Even before we arrived at the Sofitel la Ora Beach Resort our expectations were exceeded. Our little baby had been born 3 months prior to our trip. We contacted the Sofitel and the staff assured us that our little boy would be taken care of. After arriving at the Sofitel la Ora resort we found paradise. Not only had they made sure that our little baby was catered for, but they were also very thoughtful for my wife and I, being on our honeymoon. The room was exceptionally large and very well appointed. Having the best a/c of any hotel or resort we have stayed at. The breakfast buffet was devine. The location, although remote, was stunning. The food and cocktails superb! You must try the Creme Brulee, it has no peer! The staff were very friendly and accomodating, even doting over our bundle of joy. When travelling to Moorea, there is no choice but the Sofitel Moorea la Ora Resort.

Your very pampered from your first step in. Beautiful grounds, best beach, great snorkeling. Wonderful breakfast buffet and the omelet guy is a hoot! Only had dinner there one night. Dance show was nice although the bar area music is very loud, not a relaxed dinner. Service was great. Had cocktails there every night before going out to dinner. Room was clean and had a drenching rain shower that opened to a small garden. Very nice touch.

Bucket List empty put most if not everything else aside.
This maybe the best. Travel into Tahiti, took ferry over.
stayed there 3 nights. Staff Wonderful, Concierge Great helpful.
If the tell you that . Restaurant Only go to Rudy's Best Parrot Fish . Stay away from Restaurant across the street. Pom pis Jerk. Food suck never go there warning :(
amazing . Food within resort good. Have a choice include breakfast package
its worth it. People on island are great Stayed room # 206.
Sunrise Amazing, Snorkel from your deck best, do not pay guide 80.00 a person
its free directly outside your room. a Octopus lives there so much fun.

Tahiti had rain for 3 weeks prior to us so go after 2 nd week in march unless you like of rain. Great tours into mountains best we had the #1 man. Life time experience.
It was 100 % cloudy and rain over in Tahiti last week. we were dry so lucky.
Mountains it rains on/off briefly hard but so beautiful, pictures do not do this place justice. Also not sure why everybody review about how much it cost.
B.Y.W. Yes Bring your own wine or beer. that save you enough.
Hamburger at Pool Out of this world.. Yes $ 38.00 Us . But you could eat at burger king
for 10.00 and will not have a view like this. Must do. the island itself very clean
everybody is so nice. Allocate if B.Y.W. / B.Y.B. Then allocate 300.00-500.00 a day for 2 people.

Room Tip: Pay for over water bungalow worth every penny. oops dollars
