The site, the 360 degrees view on the field and the volcanoes, the big breakfasts, the facility to get in town and the way they took care of us. Located in the fields at 3 km from downtown Otavalo. A lot of trekking around the site, horse riding too, touristic counseling right on the site. They organized our transport to the airport by night. Everything was just WOW!

Room Tip: A little cabana just for 2, very clean with a lot of wool and alpaga blankets for the cold nights.

Is an excellent place to spend with family and especially for groups I had a great experience with all my groups who spend in this nice place, lovely view and the service is very good.
The rooms are very comfortable and is a good place if you want share with family, friends or alone just you feel like to be in home.

Room Tip: All rooms are quieter and comfortable

We had a very pleasant stay at Rose Cottage for 2 nights in Casa Chimborazo, which sleeps 5-6 persons and is equipped with a fire place, kitchen with stove, coffee maker, and fridge and balconies with phenomenal views of the surrounding hills and mountains. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

Room Tip: Casa Chimborazo at $120 per night including breakfast and free use of jacuzzi hot tub, is an excellent deal for a family or group of friends!

The dorm was very comfortable (despite freezing nights). I stayed four nights because of the view and the things to do in the area, but the owner was very difficult and grumpy. I almost left after the first night. She made me and other guests feel like an imposition and did not really help with advice or showing us around the place. The staff was very sweet and helpful, however. There is no kitchen for guests to use. I even got a hard time for storing some fruit in the fridge. Good news is that the owner isn't there all year round so maybe you'll have better luck. Beautiful nature in the area but hard to get to without a car.

We spent three nights in a room on the ground floor of one of the cottages. It was probably the most spacious room we enjoyed during our entire Ecuador trip and had a very cozy feel to it.

The hosteria grounds overlook some truly amazing scenery and there are strategically located benches and shelters for you to enjoy it. Lots of facilities which we didn't check out, except for the jacuzzi, which was quite a luxury after a day hiking.

It gets quite cold at night but Rosa, the owner, very kindly provided us with hot water bottles as she noticed that we're from a tropical country! She also gave us extra blankets and told us to let her know if we needed more.

The wi-fi could be a bit slow sometimes but that's the case all over Ecuador. Would visit again if I had the chance!
