An amazingly relaxing two weeks!!! Anita was lovely enough to pick us up from Split airport even though we were nearly a day late after weather delayed a connection, also the 0430h return trip on our day of departure, well above the call of duty. Anita and family live on site too and are available as much or as little as you require and are always friendly with a smile and wave. I was 7 months pregnant so appreciated the air conditioned room and pristine swimming pool, shade area and sun loungers which are shared by only 5 apartments. A couple of minutes walk from the bottom of the drive is a local shop which sells most food and drink items you'll require if you decide to prepare your own meals. It is an easy stroll down to the seaside and a handful of restaurants (and ice cream vendors) with never a bad meal. The Samac quickly became a favourite with a yummy selection of food, chilled location and reasonable prices (try the chicken pasta with gorgonzola sauce or local seafood). If you want more choice, you can take the relaxing 45 minute water taxi down the coast to Trogir, a UNESCO heritage town that hosts more tourists, shops and restaurants or further south again to Split. There were day trips you can take from the village but we just enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, warm water and comfortably hot weather. Most locals and tourists used English as a common language so we had no barriers to communication. The only negative was having to leave!! Thank you Anita and family for providing the holiday we both needed. Cx
