Stayed 2 nights.  Great location in centre near attractions restaurants and shops. Spacious nicely decorated reception area with sitting area, 1 courtyard and 1 dinning restaurant. Bed room spacious and very clean with 2 queen  comfortable  bed, table, TV fridge and safe. Bathroom clean and toiletries. Good Free WIFI and air conditioning. Breakfast choice western and chinese food. Toast and fresh  fruit. Hot coffee and cold fruit drinks. Would recommend.

Really pretty place to stay. We had a view from our window of a footbridge, also the mountains. Dining room delightful with parasols hanging from the ceiling. Beautiful circular stairs lead up to the rooms. Staff welcoming and helpful. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice (for a country hotel). I would have loved to stay longer!

Room tip: Don't expect city facilities, lift slow, stairs easy.

Despite the 'amenities' listed by Trip Advisor, this hotel did not have a gym and pool and not even a bar. The nearest bar was 10-15 minutes walk away. Room seemed fine at first glance, though basic and dated, but later discovered that most of the sockets were faulty. There was mould all around the bath and the tiles which wasn't very pleasant. Bed was hard but not as hard as some China hotels and I slept well. Pluses were: free wifi in room, egg man at breakfast who cooked a mean omelette and the shower gel supplied (on the bathroom wall) was one of the silkiest I have ever used. It was adequate for a one night stay but I would have asked to move rooms if we had been staying any longer.

One of the better we have stayed in - room is smaller but everything works. Overhead Shower in very small bath, bathroom minimal size. Breakfast is good without large array of selection - chef cooks eggs while you wait and controls the toast. Lipton tea used although still victim of water refills without new tea. Restaurant for dinner overpriced for what you get served. Whole fish with small bones.

This hotel probably looked nice 15 years ago. We stayed 2 nights. The bed was very hard, with only 2 pillows. The decor of the room reminded me of something out of Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves. The room was just basic. There was a velvet covered box in the shape a Minaret for the headboard. There were two chairs in the room that had been slip covered because the furniture was worn out. The bathroom had mold in the corners of the tub. The plumbing under the sink was just a straight pipe to a hole in the floor. We were warned by the travel company, not to eat the breakfast in the hotel, so we didn't attempt to do so. New West was a 10 minute walk and the restaurants and market were awesome. We just spent more time out and about and not in the room. We were with a travel company, so parking wasn't an issue, but I did not see any parking available at all.

Room tip: If you're looking for a great location... this is a ok place to stay.
