This hotel was really good to use as our home base for hiking Huangshan Mountain. Staff couldn't really speak English but luckily I had a Chinese speaker with me. For the most part, I've been staying at luxury hotels in China, but seeing as I was on a tight schedule, I picked this hotel out of convenience. For the price I paid, this hotel was pretty good.

The nice thing about this hotel is that I felt completely safe. Breakfast selection was good and is a must to get energy for the hike. Appreciated the fresh fruits. The hotel also stored bags complimentary and also provided a free ride to the bus station after checkout.

The hotel is situated in Tangkou town, about an hour away from the airport and Huangshan city. We have been there during the low season, begin of december 2015. The lobby was quite cold, everybody at the reception wore coats, it seemed (probably due to the low season) a bit abandoned. The room was spacious, as well as the bathroom. The cleanliness seemed improvable though (some long hair was on the bathroom floor all the days during our stay). We had to heat the room via the ACM, which was ok, we started at about 16 degrees celcius, maybe during the wintertime it is harder to heat the room.
The staff was friendly, most of them didn't speak more than a few words english exept one employee, so it was possible to book a driver for a tour to the Anhui villages (about 500 RMB for half a day). The room rate was really reasonable, so that we decided to leave our luggage in the room and to stay one night on the mountain.
There is a billard-room with two tables, you have to pay 38RMB per hour and to leave a deposit (200RMB).
The location is fine, it's a 10 minute walk to the next (east) bus station (about 20-30 minute is the ride to the Yuping-cableway). It was not possible for us, to figure out, if there are buses to the other cableway.

We tried breakfast and dinner once, both were good, breakfast was chinese but they served some toasts and eggs as well and it was cheap (20RMB per person), in the restaurant they offered us just a chinese menu, so we picked something (with help of the app *waygo* at random) and some of the dishes hit our taste. Though you have plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in the area around.
Tangkou town itself is not the place, if you prefer to have many choices for entertainment or so.

Retrospectivly, the decision to stay there was quite reasonable because the room rate was low (about 12 euro per night) and it is good situated to catch the bus up to the entrance of the Huangshan mountain.

Definitely stay at this hotel if you need a very clean and safe place to stay before or after a visit to Huangshan. The service was outstanding. Excellent value for money. I had booked our bus tickets to Hangzhou at the main bus station but the hotel managed to call to have the bus pick us up from the hotel instead early the next morning. They were able to accommodate our early start in the morning and arranged a packed lunch in the morning. We were also able to keep our bags there for a night when we travelled up the mountain. The hotel is located a short walk from the smaller bus station from which you can catch a bus to the cable car. There are lots of good restaurants near the hotel. One we really enjoyed was located the second from across the street counting from right to left. We also tried a restaurant on the road on the way to the smaller bus station and that was also very good.

This hotel is a perfect base for a climb up huangshan.

The staff are friendly and helpful: sorted out a mix up with the dates for our booking with no fuss/extra cost to us; arranged for an early breakfast delivered to our rooms; and for the bus to hangzhou to pick us up from the hotel.

The location is convenient: foot massage; good local restaurants and supermarket all very close by.

The rooms are very comfortable and good value; very clean; sitting area and bath. The only issue is the hot water took a while to heat up.

Zhongrui hotel was not our first choice but we were offered it after the hotel we had chosen had cancelled the reservation. It is quite well placed near the bus station from which you can go to the east gate, and there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel on the way back from the mountain.
The room was amazingly spacious and cosy, the bathroom with a huge bath, a wardrobe, nice desk etc. We slept very well in a clean bed which was HUGE!
Breakfast was the highlight. First morning we got a yellowish token and ate downstairs - food was ok, decent choice (if you like Chinese food, you will find enough to fill your stomach). On the second morning we got a pinkish token and were led to another restaurant upstairs. We don't know the reason why it was a different place this time, but it doesn't matter as it was much much better
than the previous one. Much better choice, so even if you are not fond of Chinese food, you could find some western options for yourself. Delicious and huge variety!
The staff was helpful, and the hotel offers a FREE shuttle to the bus station, contrary to what an English-speaking Mr.Hu claimed (this is a man who mysteriously appears from nowhere on your arrival to Tangkou and gives you plenty of advice, some of which is part of a wider scam).
Generally, it was an enjoyable stay, especially that the weather was rainy and foggy.
