I stayed there a lot 7-8 years ago when there was not much in the way of good hotels. Its clean and has plenty of room for parking. The restaurant was ok but didn't have a written menu so you had to ask if they had what you wanted. Female staff were helpful but males barely competent. Still liked it though.

Room Tip: Best to go inside the room and look around before agreeing to take it.

Average hotel. Nice pool. Miserly breakfast - 2-3 mouse eaten looking pieces of pineapple. The manager tried hard but the air con didnt work properly and the showerhead came off in my friend's hand while she was trying to adjust it. Overall, it was a very so-so experience despite the management's efforts.

Room Tip: All are extremely hot

For you guys who like the real feel: Hotel Rattanak! It can very well happen that you get up 4.30 in the morning. The giant speaker next to the hotel will then start to play the local radio program - Khmer music and buddhist teaching - with the volume of a rock concert. For myself one early bird concert was enough... Aside of that I whished a place with some charm (Rattanak is ok but functional). Recommendation is Hotel Banan just down the road from Rattanak in direction of the city centre (not listed on this page). A little bit loud as well (main road, windows don't close so well) but it has it's special style and charm.

Stayed here for 2 nights to tour the Battambang area which is definitely worth a visit while travelling in Cambodia. Rattanak hotel was average enough - quite a walk out of main town, especially in extreme heat. Consists of several bungalows - swimming pool and bar area. Rooms were quite small but clean. Rattanak professed to have a good restuarant but it was actually very basic - much better places in town - Kymer Delight being one of the best!! We wanted to stay in the Villa but it was fully booked - went to see it whilst there - really lovely hotel. Would recommend that anyone going to Battambang books in advance into the Villa.

A groups of us stayed at the Hotel Rattanak in Battambang Cambodia. It is a modern hotel - maybe finished in early 2006. It has a large restaurant popular at night and during the day. Staff speak Khmer, English and Chinese. The staff were very helpful, the hotel was very clean. All rooms have aircon and are spacious. Beds comfortable and made with crisp sheets.

For a hotel in a part of Cambodia which is not on the tourist trail, it is excellent. Cost was about $8-12US per night, and was better in cleanliness and facilities than hotels at 4 times the price in Phnom Penh.
