I have rated this hotel as average and not terrible based on the excellent staff (majority of them that is!) however the hotel is a budget hotel with good and plenty of not so good points, (hopefully the new management will take it's customer comments seriously on board!)

So the good points!!!!

The hotel is in a really good location and only a short stroll to the beautiful beach and around a ten minute walk into beautiful old Nessebar.
The hotel has been apparently updated but still needs lots more work and could so easily be a very competitive and quality hotel with a bit more TLC
Our room was really nice, on the ground floor and overlooked the hotel park, which is so nice but so wasted. The room was modern and bright, really good air conditioning and had everything we needed. The hotel WIFI also worked really well.
The receptionist staff were so helpful, approachable, and friendly. We felt that the rooms were cleaned to a good standard on a daily basis and the hotel handyman (although not very talkative!) was also very pleasant and helpful.

The bad points:
The hotel swimming pool is tiny and no use nor ornament - tiny
The beds in the room were so hard and uncomfortable
The bedding sheets did not fit the beds and was again basically no use.
The hotel food was inedible , DO NOT GO ALL INCLUSIVE, TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY, the hotel mainly caters for Russian guests, AVOID!!!!
The restaurant worker (I use manager very loosely due to his appalling appearance and attitude towards guests) He was rude, shouted at us on two separate occasions and was very unfriendly
The hotel loungers are also no use as they have no cushion pads and so the loungers are hard and uncomfy, if you can find an unbroken one that is, which is such a shame as the garden/park is so nice.
The lounge area is not the best, sofas old a bit tatty, but there is a pool table (3 lev to play) but it has a broken floor area and I did trip over it a few times
The dinning room is very depressing and dated and most of the restaurant staff are not welcoming or friendly.
The hotel does allow locals to use the facilities for children's birthday parties and also for the local school. While we were there we had to contend with a children's party until gone midnight but the children were really entertaining and pleasant.
On anther day the hotel allowed the local junior school to have access to the park. We had several hours of holidaying in what seemed like a play ground. lots of children were left running wild in the grounds and reception area, which was a little worrying that they were allowed to do this with no regard for their own safety.
We also had to contend with a few children annoying us by dragging up flowers and throwing them at us while sunbathing!!!

But apart from all the negatives, the hotel manager spent time with us chatting about our issues and seemed to take an interest in what we had to say.
The hotel did on the last two days provided English breakfast, but this was still pretty disgusting.
However, I would stay here again as its cheap and cheerful, with lots of nice place to eat locally and a good location. The hotel manager did say that they were continuing to update the hotel as it had been taken over by new owners.
Would recommend going for breakfast and snacks at Niko's which is out of the back of the hotel and down the steps, the first one you come to on the left, literally a two minute walk. They have a fantastic varied menu, breakfast, snacks and meals and all reasonably priced. Full English will set you back around £3.00

Room Tip: Book a park view room

Stayed here for a week at a very reasonable cost which was good because we decided to eat out most days even though we were booked on an all inclusive basis. Food wasn't good and the barman was very grumpy and seemed to take an instant dislike to us so after a couple of days we didn't even stay for drinks. Lovely location and hotel fine although could do with a lick of paint to brighten it up Rest of staff very pleasant and helpful Really undecided as to whether we would stay here again or not

Nice hotel, great location, poorly ran. We arrived at 2am were given a top floor studio room, with no balcony, even though we had payed for one. Room was not cleaned properly, and the bed sheet was full of holes and stains the night receptionist changed them straight away and said she would sort the room out tomorrow, which she did. The pool bar was closed, only 25 sun beds for a 70 room hotel most were taken by non residents. The most worrying thing was we had no running water two afternoons and could not shower or wash hands after the toilet, luckily I had my own hand sanitiser .
You had to ask for everything in the restaurant , cups cutlery tea bags, we got our own in the end. If you didn't go for meals when they opened anything bearly edible was gone, only to be replaced by recycled nugget and chips. As we were getting upset tummies we decided to eat out. I wish we had seen this review before we booked.

Room Tip: Hope you don't get a road side room.

Nice hotel but once they have your money they do not give a toss about you! Food is always the same and is a breeding ground for salmonella/ food poisoning. Wife contracted food poisoning when here! Manager Cvetan Cekov is a liar! Avoid at all costs!
