Well this place hasn’t changed any since last year when I was here, except the AC’s are in worse shape than before. The internet is terrible, you can't even get an email out much less trying to do any streaming. The maids continue to cackle bright and early in the morning directly in front of your rooms with your “Do Not Disturb” signs which obviously mean nothing to them. The front desk staff is friendly however, it took three separate tries to find a person at the front desk who knew how to take a payment, and the room keys still never work, we’re at the point where we just get a new one every time we come into the hotel because going to our rooms is a waste of time since you will have to go back down for a new key regardless. I’m guessing this place must be inexpensive as our company still continues to use them. Laundry services supposedly if you drop your clothes before noon they would be back the next day by 2PM, for me it was three days later that I called and started asking them where my things were, they brought them to my room at midnight. It seems the only people here that know what they’re doing and do it well are the bell men at the front of the hotel. The rooms remind me of the dorm rooms at GMU minus the bunk beds. Laminate flooring and open style closets. I read some reviews that called this hotel modern and fresh, I'm not sure that we were staying at the same hotel as there is really nothing modern about it. I would give this hotel 2.5 stars, 3 being generous. The location is good, near shopping, food, groceries, and pharmacies.

This hotel is located in a pleasant neighbourhood with parks and although there is a bus stop opposite, it is not too far to walk to the city centre. There are bars and coffee shops close by, including popular lunch buffets. A shopping mall is located a couple of blocks up the road.
I stayed here in late August 2015 and was more than satisfied with the size of the room, on the thirteenth floor which offered good views. Furnishings are modern and simple. An example would be the smart TV which allowed me to switch from Portuguese to an English soundtrack.
The complimentary breakfast offered a large choice of hot and cold food including cakes and fruit, typical of many Brazilian hotels. The only, minor, criticism I have is that there was no variation to the offering from day to day.
It should also be mentioned that the dining area on the ninth floor offered nice views of the surrounding area.
The staff is cheery and helpful. As I speak no Portuguese I relied upon these people to some extent for their advice and they came through for me. All had a great attitude.
To anyone looking for a hotel to stay in, in Porto Alegre, I would suggest that you find it hard to do better.

The hotel is in a good location with plenty around it, and a mall within walking distance. There are two grocery stores and plenty of restaurants near by. The hotel was very clean and new, the rooms are a bit on the small side, especially once you put two people and their luggage in. Breakfast was very nice, nice variety of food, always plenty to eat.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Service was good, front desk agents were very helpful. The room was great, very new, modern and clean. The location was just perfect: walking distance from the famous street Padre Chagas, where you can find several dining options!

I arrived at the hotel with a baby of 6 months. They put a crib and a small tub for the baby in the room. The room was nice and clean. The staff helped with everything, including printing the boarding pass for me on the day of the flight. At the restaurant the dishes were big and the waiters very nice.
Breakfast was good but I felt they did not keep up with refilling...
There is small shopping mall 3 blocks away but you should know it's a very steep way up...to get there.
