The hotel looks & feels like a standard Novotel, clean & modern.

Main reason for less stars: NOBODY spoke english when we arrived at 23.30.
We called before we left Lima in the morning and to arrange a pick up and they told us to call once we've arrived. So we did... We called 4 times: the first 2 times they hung up on us, the next 2 times they just put the headset on the side and did not talk to us. I get it, it's Brazil BUT this is the Novotel! There's a reason why people book a room in an international hotel chain which is, not to have language problems... So we walked over as we could see the hotel from the airport - half way a guy told us to be careful as this is a dangerous area and we've been 4 tourists with our whole luggage.
Once we arrived the SHUTTEL BUS arrived! Bad service.

Learning: Make sure to book your Shuttel service during day-time to ensure there is someone speaking English.

It is a good cost/benefit relation. Breakfast is well served with many bread and fruit alternatives. Service could be a little bit better. Owner need to improve training to employees at restaurant. Reception is effective and promote a quick check in and check out. Quite easy to move around Porto Alegre and near cities. It is worthy!

No surprises (good or bad) on this stay. Efficient check-in/out, good bedroom/bathroom, good breakfast. Gym is nothing special. Price is adequate. Minor hiccup: TV remote control was missing on the second day (supposedly they had to fix or change batteries, which I find odd as it worked fine the night before). Took a little time to replace it, but nothing critical.

Well the hotel is close to the airport. That's very positive and I think there is also a shuttle bus. i haven't taken it, but I sa one. Check-in quick but impersonal. I had lunch at the restaurant, where service was very slow and the quality of the food that took almost an hour to make was not exceptional. The rooms are ok and bathrooms proper....but the WIFI is the worst! Had to hold my computer up and close to the door to catch a signal. For a hotel in this category, that's not good news.

Yes, the Novotel Porto Alegre Aeroporto have a shuttle bus and it works 24h.

Hotel is across the street from the airport. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is average, and doesn't start until 6:00. Great place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.

Only disappointment was the gym. It is very small; two of the three treadmills were out of service and the third did not operate correctly. I had the opportunity to check out the gym at the nearby Hotel Deville, and found it to be excellent. Something to consider if a workout is important to you!

Dear Guest,

Our Breakfast starts at 6h and it works until 10h am. I will check with the department chef what could be happened.
The treadmills were fixed, and the gym it is working normally now.
