One of the best bistros in the Ipanema area! Extremely fresh and tasty menu, delicious seafood and fresh fruit juice and cocktail drink menu. Their ceviche is really good and they make fresh wholesome items that really stand out from a line of bad restaurant food in the area. The ambiance is great with excellent attentive staff members.

Zaza is lovely. Lovely staff. Lovely ambience. Lovely menu. Lovely food. I had the tuna sashimi for starters and the fisherman’s stew. My wife had the green curry ‘not so hungry’ bowl.
Portion size.....there was far more food in my wife’s ‘small bowl’ compared to my ‘main course’ stew. The flavours and textures of the food might well be stunning but come on Zaza.... the portion size is tiny for the price. My stew would have made a starter but for a main? Maybe 10 or so small mouthfuls maximum and walking away hungry from a nice restaurant can’t be right can it?
Five stars for ambience, flavour and texture, two stars for portion and value for money.

Hello. We apologize and we'll find out what happened. We will check what happened, because our portions are plentiful and many people, even, divide.

Absolutely loved this please.
From the beautiful decor and friendly staff to the brilliant food, it was a pleasure all round.
We got the cold and hot sharing platters to start (lamb croquettes and ceviche were my favourites), and the grilled octopus, lamb ravioli and grilled fish for main, which were all great.

We were recommended this little place by a Local brazilain friend. It’s a cute little restaurant with a great vibe. We sat on the ground floor at a table and enjoyed Sangria and the wonderful healthy and flavorful food. The chicken curry was to die for and my friend had the quinoa bowl. Don’t feel touristy and was comfortably priced. Definitely will be returning! Such a great place....

With amazing food, decoration, and dedicated waiters who always been looking for you contentement !
My other half chose to eat the most famous zaza ‘s octopus and I personally chose the “sea feijoada”. The cocktails were greats, but, like the food, a bit high for Rio, but with all this kindness and quality, we obviously loved it.
We advice you, if you’re foreign tourist in Rio, to visit the Zaza Bistro, moreover if you’re a bit disappointed of the global rio’s food taste !

Oh, I really want to talk to you about their toilets ! They are uniques and inspiring !
