The hotel overall is beautiful, the views are breathtaking. The rooms are
well maintained, very clean and the turn down service was a plus. The bed was on the hard side, which I actually like but others who prefer a softer bed may not agree. Either way we slept so well, it was so quiet and we could turn down the a/c to make it just as cold as we like it to sleep. The shower had perfect pressure and really hot water. The breakfast buffet has great options and everything is fresh, even better since it was included with the stay. The on-site restaurant Mee was amazing. Overall it’s a good value. I would definitely try to stay at other Belmond hotels in the future based on this experience.

No better place in Rio (maybe the world) to celebrate New Years Eve. The NYE white party is incredible - most people are dressed in all white, I would request the room with the dance floor and band, as it is the most fun!! The food is phenomenal and they were pouring the Vueve champagne as fast as you could drink it - even on the dance floor!! The rooms have every amenity and luxury you could want. Definitely recommend requesting a room with a Juliette balcony and a room on floor 3 or higher - the view of the fireworks from the balcony is out of this world!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!! The view is not nearly as good from the main party balcony. This is by far the best fireworks display I have seen anywhere in the world, including Dubai!! Just go - you on the disappointed!!!

Room tip: Request a Juliette balcony - 3rd floor or higher with a view of the fireworks.

This was our 7th visit and everything was up to the usual high standard you expect from this hotel. All staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool water temperature was lovely and warm and yet refreshing. Room was lovely and they left a delicious chocolate cake for my partner’s birthday. My only criticism was the sauna and steam rooms were closed…we have stayed at a few hotels in the last months in Europe and they were all open.

Service need to be improved. If the hotel wants to be considered luxury needs to train better the team. Also the water of the bath tube is not clean. Its for sure because the hotel is old and tubes are old too

We really enjoyed our stay at the Copacabana Palace. We had a serious service issue upon check-in ( hence 4 stars) but after involving our travel agent and the GM, we felt that it was satisfactorily addressed. The location is fantastic as we were able to walk or bike all over the city with the beach right across the street. Belmond even provided beach loungers for guests on Copacabana beach.

Our favorite part of the hotel was the pool. It’s a great party on the weekends and very relaxed during the week. The temperature was perfect and our kids loved it! The service throughout the hotel was excellent and we really enjoyed ourselves here.
