Stayed at the hotel this past week and we thoroughly enjoyed all facilities offered. The pool, gym, sauna, hot tub and room service were all excellent, and we would definitely recommend staying here.

The only slight downside is the location for tourism, as we found ourselves getting Ubers most days when wanting to explore the city. There are not many restaurants and bars nearby, but plenty of transport links, with many Brazilian takeouts being able to deliver to the hotel.

All staff were friendly and helpful despite the language barrier, and we got more than value for money by staying at this hotel.

This hotel located far away from tourist attraction but there is a tram just in front of the hotel. The room is modern and clean as novotel standard with sea view. The swimming pool shape is weird like a narrow canal. Bathroom amenities are very limited and no drinking water. No welcome drink, no upgrade, nothing special offered for le club member.

On arrival nobody at reception and waited at the bar which also unattended. Check in was about 22:00.

At Breakfast (which extra charge) no table available, there was a separate roped off area but told could not use. After a wait I was shown a table, it was dirty with old plates etc. nobody cleaned it, I went to the buffet, 2 out of 4 juices empty, fruits all but consumed, no plates and only forks in the cutlery tray, I waited a further 10 minutes and no change, so I had only a cup of coffee and left, 32 Real, an expensive coffee.

At reception had to stand to wait for my lift as place crammed with people and bags.

If you can't cope with a large group and ordinary business guests, please refuse to accept one or the other, do not cheat people.

Will definitely not be returning.

This is a brand new hotel, very well located for people who need to go to downtown Rio de Janeiro. The only problem is that there is no any restaurant nearby the hotel and it is needed to have dinner in the restaurant.inside the hotel. Also taxi is somehow difficult to take in some daily hours. But the good point is that the hotel is completely new and all inside work very well. Shower is excelent and bed also is very good. Breakfast is not that extra, but it is Ok.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with sea view.

I traveled to RJ to run the marathon and I stayed few days at the Novotel Porto Atlantico.
I was amazed by the kindness and benevolence of the terrific staff! A special shoutout to Yuli, Erica and Lorran who have made my trip to this wonderful city as memorable as it could be.
Highly recommend this hotel for the facility and more importantly for the warmth and generosity of this strong squad!
