They had some cool, museum like exhibits. We came in at 4:30 and they were only open 9-5 so we just breezed through. Amazing observation tower. The trails would have been cool to explore in summer/fall. Not much to look at outside in April.

Thank Kzwief

Dear Kzwief,
Thank you for taking the time to review us! We are sorry you didn't get to visit for too long, hopefully you can visit another time and get a chance to explore our trails! We are open every day 9-5, including weekends! We are glad you got a chance to walk around our observation tower. If you are interested in seeing more from the tower, we encourage you to come visit in the month of May, when we have a prescribed burn near the center, which can be seen from the tower! Thank you again!

Love the view from the top of the visitor center. Love the rotating display of pictures-this year from the old resorts in the area. They also have a great gift shop with books on the area.

Thank Margaret M

Dear Margaret M,
We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed our observation tower and interactive exhibits! Our gift shop at the center is run by a non-profit organization known as the Friends of the Center. They strive on having items that are personal and relevant to this region, so it's great to hear the positive review about our gift shop! Thank you again for taking the time to write a review about us on Trip Advisor.

This area was blessed with public money some years back and the NGLVC was born. If you want to experience glaciers, boreal forest (look at the floor), mining (you can depress the plunger and detonate dynamite) then come here. There is always a ranger on duty to answer your questions. Nice hike outside.

Not too close to the water, but a lot of information about Lake Superior. Not ,uch info on Huron or Michigan. Great views from the observation dech, a nice boardwalk about 1/2 mile, and the best documentary movie on the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

Dear Campgroundguy,
We appreciate you taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. We are happy to hear you liked the view from the tower, it is a popular attraction at the center! It sounds like you got to spend a good amount of time here, walking our trails and seeing one of our documentaries. We hope you get a chance to come here again, and we would love to try and answer any questions you have on the other lakes, though they are not our primary focus. Thank you again!
