I visited this hotel in October with a small tour group of friends. I don’t know when it was rated 4 star but it is definitely not that now.

Our first room was on the first floor which smelled of mold and dampness. The bathroom was very small and dated and had peeling paint and grime and rust in the corners. The distance between the toilet and the wall made using the toilet very difficult.

After complaining we were moved to the 4th floor on the second day. While this had an actual ocean view, the room and furniture were still very old. The only thing we got rid of was the smell of mold and the view into a dirt pile.

We won’t be returning to this hotel should we ever return to Salvador. Thank goodness Salvador itself was really great!

Stayed in this hotel for two weeks as a nursing student for an international community health class with Chamberlain University. The staff always seemed helpful and the people at the front desk spoke English so that was a big help. The bar in the lobby was barely stocked and most times they would have to go to another part of the hotel in order to make change. The breakfast was amazing! Some times it was the best part of my day. The rooms were clean but my room did have an issue with the sink not draining properly and the air conditioning left too much moisture in the air. The street that it is located on is quite and has several amazing places to eat...especially Quattro!
