Searching for vegan food in South America can be frustrating sometimes. Upon arriving in Rurrenabque we went searching for dinner. Every restaurant was the same, pizza, pasta, and meat options. At last we found Pete's that had an entire veggie page and they were willing to make it vegan for us :) We went back almost twice a day and we were always satisfied. The lovely employees continously checked up on us ensuring everything was ok and were great to chat to. It's rare to find this in a restaurant in Bolivia and we even made friends with their adorable kids. The prices are fare for the portions (they'll even do half portions) and best of all they have a dinner menu for Bs. 25 that includes a soup, two choices for a main (meat and veg option) and dessert! You won't find a better deal in town. Thanks again for the hospitality! You can't go wrong with the grilled eggplant, veg curry, or veggie burgers!
