My daughter and I stayed here for one night only while visiting friends. For us the location was ideal. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed.
The staff were friendly and helpful from the valet parking to check in to restaurant and the person helping us with our bags was extremely pleasant.
We had a deal that included breakfast so that was good value.
Overnight parking was $34 per night so not cheap but we later discovered a parking garage just round the corner on Crystal Avenue which I think was much cheaper- it was a weekend and there is free on street parking on a Sunday.
The hotel is also well located ( 5mins?) from Ronald Reagan airport.
Plenty of restaurants nearby so if you wanted to visit Washington/Arlington/Georgetown without being in the city this would be a good choice.

we have stayed at Hyatts for years and i guess this one is not for leisure but for business...the bathroom are smaller then any bathroom hotel i have been in for years..you cannot close the door with being outside of the bathroom..a single vanity, no tub and two person canto be in the room at the same time....the was huge and could have easily had some of that in the bath....its modern, no warmth....even the sheraton at charles de gualle has character in the rooms....the food at the bar lounge was so bad we did not eat it. do not know if the Cinnibar is the same. the public rooms are cleaned and the banquet food was not really bad. Our sales manger Jackie was wonderful. She is definitely an asset to the Hotel. I hope the other Hyatts have not gone ion their direction or we shall never be staying in one again....there was also jack hammering all day and the sofa and bed vibrated....when i called the fdesk said, oh yes, we renovate 7 days a week from 9-5. they should have told us about that when we booked the room as we would have paid more to be away from the noise.

Room tip: just ask to be away from the renovation noise...its all high buildings with lights and right next to the airport.

Hyatt Regency was located well but traffic was a nightmare for drivers. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Work out room was too small for such a big space and was too hot. 17-18 floors with 1 elliptical, 1 stair master , 4 treadmills plus some weights, Really?

We just returned from our first stay at this hotel and as frequent traveler to DC, I must declare that I will be coming back here again on all of our future trips. The Hyatt ranks the best of many DC area hotels that we've stayed at for its extremely competitive price (we paid $139 per night), cleanliness and unmatched level of hospitality. We were promptedly granted early check-in on our arrival and were always greeted with politeness and a smile from the front desk staff to the concierge and shuttle drivers to the housekeeping staff. The staff all seemed to be genuinely happy with their jobs and ensuring we were having a good stay. Our room was impeccably clean. The hotel shuttle was extremely reliable running to/from the airport every twenty minutes like clockwork. The drivers were pleasant and always offered us waters. The location is slightly further away from the area restaurants and the Crystal City Metro stop but still well within a reasonable walking distance. The shuttle will also take you to the Crystal City Metro stop if you do not want to walk. It is obvious that this hotel cares about hospitality from top to bottom - well done Team Hyatt! We will see you next time!

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency last week while in the DC area for business.

Check in/out: Was a breeze. The front desk staff was very friendly and professional.

Overall staff: Everyone was quite friendly and helpful.

My room: Absolutely spotless and looked as if it was recently renovated. The touches were very high end and suited for the business traveler. With most hotel rooms I can find at least one little thing to nitpick about, but I honestly could not find a problem with this one.

Amenities: I only took advantage of two. The 24-hour fitness center is very clean with a good selection of machines. And if you don't like working out in public there is a selection of on-demand workout/yoga videos available so these is no excuse to skip your exercise routine. On the other hand I thought the items in the gift shop were extremely overpriced ($3.50 for a 1/2 liter bottle of water...really?).

Location: Most of the restaurants and shops begin about 5 minutes away by foot on Crystal Drive. The nearest Metro stop (Crystal City) is about 15 blocks away, but the Hyatt runs a shuttle to and from the stop every 15 minutes.

I would absolutely recommend staying at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City.
