Stayed here for one night as I had an early flight from Reagan National. Not much to complain about. Hotel foyer is quite large and spacious. There is even easy access to the Washington Metro line through an underground walkway. The walkway has a number of shops and restaurants though most of them close early.

If you plan to drive your car or rental here; keep in mind parking is not free. It costs about $ 42 per day though with In/Out privileges. Also, the underground parking structure is not suitable for large vehicles such as large SUVs or pickup trucks. I had a hard time maneuvering around the parking lot in a Toyota Tacoma rental. Thankfully the lot was not filled with vehicles.

Airport shuttle is free and does fill up quickly. While the shuttle going to the airport does not stop at other hotels; it does so if going from the airport which explains why it runs every 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the Washington Metro line and get off at Crystal City station, then follow the pathway to the front desk.

If you plan to pickup an Amazon package using the lockers at the Embassy Suites Crystal City, it is about a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel.

Stayed here for business and a day off. Staff here are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is very good! Easy short lyft to the Capitol/mall. There is a great bakery, salad place, park, giant mall, and whole foods with 10 min walk. No pool anymore. Skip the underground mall and enjoy the outdoors.

We recently had conference at this hotel! Linens are clean. Bed is very comfortable. Love the shower amenities! We have the view of the room from the 15th street. It was quiet. Great, friendly, and very accommodating staff. They were able to extend us for a late stay so we can tour the area for few hours. Parking fee is daily. There is also restaurant inside the hotel for a reasonable price. This hotel will also give you access to the metro and mini-shops for souvenirs. Washington DC is very close to this place. We’ll come back next year!

Room tip: Metro to visit the nearby attraction

Things needing improvement here-
1. During our entire conference of several days, the only escalator leading to the conference area was broken. Everyone had to walk up a long escalator. Can't this get fixed in a timely manner?
2. There is a snack shop. No prices are listed on anything, I guess the cost should not matter to a customer. Don't rip me off so- list the prices!

Not impressed with this place.

Recently stayed here as part of a group event for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. The hotel appears to have been recently updated as everything looks brand new. The room was clean and very comfortable. Also, it is a short walk (without even going outside) to the Metro, which is nice.

On the downside, they did not have enough staff to handle the extremely expensive buffet breakfast and every single entree was cold. Very disappointing! We did not eat there again.

Also, we spent three nights there and had to call for clean towels and the beds were not even made after having been gone for over 8 hours. When we called about it, we were told that they did not clean rooms for multiple night stays unless you called and asked it to be cleaned. Really? Why didn't they tell us this when we checked in?
