Would get 5 if wasn't so small and popular. The food is good, service is sufficient and the food comes out relatively quickly. We like a lot of the items so it is hard to recommend just one or two. One thing I didn't like was their soup dumplings. Otherwise, try different things and you will be happy. Ok, I like pickles so the cucumber in spicy garlic sauce is very good. Ok, and the pig ear... and the beef roll... see it just keeps going.

Awesome place, everything we had was super good, especially the bean curd dish and the noodles. The smoky chicken is super smoky so if you don't like extra smokiness then you might want to skip that haha. The soybean milk tastes really fresh and reminds me of my childhood

Tea is delightful, soups and wontons wonderful, fried chicken with rice and herbs masterpiece, and the Dan Dan Mian noodles I need in my life always.

I can't vouch for whether this is the best Chinese/Taiwanese food in the area, but that's because we won't go anywhere else besides A&J. Happened upon this unassuming restaurant by accident, and we are now regulars, especially for their weekend "brunch" menu, which has several options not on their usual extensive menu. The salty rice roll is delicious, the morning biscuit is a sesame-flavored delight. My 3-year-old son asks for spicy cucumber salad every time (very tasty), and the fried chicken soup is wonderful. There are just too many dishes to list all of our favorites. Small plates allow you to share, and they happily pack any leftovers to go. Be aware, it's cash only (as other reviewers have mentioned) and there is often a wait at peak times, but the turnover in tables is pretty quick.
