Excellent service particularly Kamika during check in and subsequent questions - good location / walk to King street and convenient to business districts and other sightseeing in and around Alexandria - parking steep at $40 but otherwise highly recommend

Work brings me to Alexandria every month or so. I have been to all the options across the big chains (Marriott and Hilton) and absolutely nothing compares to the Residence Inn on Duke. It has become my go-to for all future stays.

- Friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcomed (downtown DC hotels could learn a thing or two)
- Excellent hot breakfast
- Clean, spacious rooms with well-maintained kitchens
- 5 minute walk from the metro

Not much else one could ask for!

Extremely clean, very accommodating and friendly staff, excellent breakfast with large variety of choices. Only a couple of blocks to the Metrorail which we used to get into and back out of DC, and I would strongly recommend this! Also within walking distance of several restaurants and shops in Old Town Alexandria. Felt safe as well. On-site parking for $40 daily was awesome, as we didn’t have to move our vehicle 3 days while we were there. Whole Foods within a block or two for snacks.

We definitely weren’t prepared for the amount of walking that we did around DC. I think we could have utilized the Metro even better than we did, as there are different colored lines. Blue and yellow lines are strategic for right around the heart of DC. Definitely worth it, and not costly for a 3 day pass.

Room tip: Just be prepared if you’re traveling to DC. It is so expansive, you can’t even imagine it. We walked 15 miles day 1, almost 10 day 2.

I spent a week at the Residence Inn on Duke Street in Alexandria. This was a work trip and it was important to me to have a grocery store nearby - and the Whole Foods a block up the road did not disappoint!!

My room (644) was super quiet. The temp was always comfortable without needing any AC/heat so no noise from the AC unit.

The front desk staff was absolutely delightful and beyond helpful. The close proximity to old town Alexandria was convenient - tons of restaurants and the best bakery outside of France within walking distance (Fresh Baguette).

We travel for work monthly and this hotel is our home away from home. The rooms are roomy, clean and up to date. There is a nice gym and laundry room. The breakfast is always good eating. The hotel staff is the best!! - from house keeping to front desk, everyone is so nice and will help you in every way they can!! Pam at the front desk is the nicest person! Thank you Pam for always trying to give us the biggest/quietest room! There is plenty of restaurants within an easy walk. Also a Whole Foods for groceries. Old Town Alexandria is beautiful and so much to explore.

Room tip: Ask for a corner room. Those rooms are a little larger.
