Great coffee, killer location, righteous owners-workers, portal for live art-poetry, comedy, improvisation theater, great selection of local food and drink. Eat off of copper tables.

This was on my list of coffee shops to seek out and then was also recommended by someone at the Visitors Center. It was exactly what I was looking for. It has a great atmosphere. The menu looked pretty good! I only had a bagel but wished my appetite had been bigger. The breakfast tacos must be very good because, as I waited, three customers came in asking for them but apparently the day's supply had already been exhausted!
We stopped in another day at night and there was a good crowd hanging out as well as attendees for the comedy theatre that is located in the rear of the cafe.

Nice place to take a break, enjoy a beverage and/or a quick breakfast. The almond croissants are fresh and delicious.

We went to The Hideout for a pastry and coffee every morning on our long weekend to Austin. Good coffee, good pastries (I love the cinnamon "muffin"), and awesome atmosphere. Cozy, a bit eclectic, and super friendly.
