For a lovely Father's Day luncheon, we were pleasantly surprised by the scope of this menu. Two favorites were rack of lamb and linguini smothered with shellfish.

Best Italian resto in the state...owned Italian family for generations...really amazing food - try the lobster bisque (even when it is not on the menu because it is served as a specialty dish, just ask - they will make it for you if lobster dishes are served. Or try the lamb - delicious ! Make reservations as it is well know in the area.

Ristorante San Marco has become a regular spot for us. We are there probably 3 times a month, so almost once a week. The menu is large enough and changes enough (with many items as specials and not on the menu that is online) that it never gets boring. Food is delicious and expertly prepared, plentiful and served hot (a pet peeve of mine).

They have a large wine list that is fairly priced but as an added bonus - if you are so inclined - they allow personal wine to be brought and there is a $15 per bottle corkage fee (very reasonable) except on Monday and Tuesday when corkage is free. A nice separate bar area with a piano player Thursday through the weekend is a nice touch.

There are few truly authentic high end old school Italian restaurants in the area. Normally you get either pedestrian red gravy joints or stuff that is so haute cuisine that you can't tell what you're eating and you come away hungry. San Marco makes it the way mama made it and you won't go away any way other than satiated and satisfied.

Always, I say always, a very good meal..atmosphere is very good, you can actually have a conversation. Have been coming for 12+ years, and have yet to find a place that is as good in the area. Forget the chef who left who opened his joint down the road. That place is a disaster, food fine, atmosphere is the worst, tables crammed, staff terrible..like eating in a storefront , which you are.

Getting back to San Marco, the bronzino has no peers..Beef carpaccio excellent. Chris, the newer bartender , makes a very good cocktail. Our go to place..Complaints about the owners being present is ridiculous , very nice pe

Went for early New Years Eve dinner on recommendation of a friend and was very disappointed. With the recommendation and seeing other ratings I expected a lot more. It was a set menu and for the price we could have went to the Capital Grill and had a much nicer meal. I had a filet with a tough piece of fat running thru the center of it and my mother in laws veal was very chewy and I could see that the woman next to us veal was the same way. Tables were very close in the room we were in and could hear next table conversations. Service was average if that.
