K SO There was like mystery goo on the walls and ceilings but it's ok cause it didn't smell and I didn't touch it so we Gucci. The beds were decent. The shower had hair in it and I don't think the bathrooms were properly cleaned but that's ok because I accidentally flooded the bathroom so they clean now you're welcome. I hoarded cocoa cause like free cocoa and they gave complimentary muffins. I didn't get one cause my boyfriend insisted we leave early like twice in a row each year so that was disappointing but whatevs I got cocoa. The pool is cold af but it's Oregon so who cares really? Like who goes to Oregon to swim that's like going to new York for Californian rolls. WEIRD. Cold af don't trust the pool no matter how inviting it is. They still clean out the pool for whatever reason even tho I'm pretty sure no one goes in it. DANK af complimentary foods and stuff and free hygiene products. Noisy drunks tend to be outside yelling about college football tho. Idk what it is about Oregon and college football, be warned tons of talk about college football. I'd stay there again.

Room Tip: Wait till they're cleaning the pool to get cocoa

The room is basic, clean, comfortable and the staff a very nice. You do get a fridge and microwave in case you bring home leftovers. You also get a nice panel TV with a bunch of channels. But that isn't really you are here, is it? You've come for the theater! It is an easy drive to the theater or a 20 min walk. No problem.

Throwback motel, maintained well. Swimming pool is small but nice to sit around. Staff was friendly and beds comfortable. Shower water pressure was good and the location was nice for getting back to I-5.
Biggest negative- free breakfast was lame. English muffins with packages of jelly, bananas, coffee and orange juice. That's it. Literally not a protein to be found. Would rather they drop the breakfast and reduce the price by $15.

I've been attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for several decades. About 20 years ago I discovered the Timbers Motel. I've been staying there twice a year ever since. It is a little over a mile from downtown Ashland where the OSF theaters are located, so unless you enjoy walking you really need a car to get back and forth.

The Timbers is not bare bones but it is older and it looks its age. The price is right, however, and if you favor economy over luxury, then this place will fit the bill, nicely. Clean, good size rooms, nice staff.

Good location as it is across the street from Oregon State U. campus and its Snyder Art Museum; plus Omar's Restaurant and The Great American Pizza are close by, as is Market of Choice, a really superior health food and grocery store.

We chose this motel based on TripAdvisor reviews, but I was expecting less. Except for the fact that the room was small, I was more than happy with the amenities. This is an older motel that had been upgraded--room had microwave and refrigerator, bathroom was modern, everything was clean, towels were nice. "Continental breakfast" was better than most budget hotels, in that the coffee was OK, there was fresh orange juice and bananas, and instead of those awful pastries in plastic, there were grocery store English muffins as well as whole wheat English muffins + a toaster. Given the tourist nature of Ashland, I'd rate this place high for value.

Room Tip: I'd recommend an upper floor because cars come and go in front of the ground floor rooms.
