We arrived from a night bus at 7.30am - the hotel is about 7 minutes walk from the bus station and in a quiet part of town but not too far to walk to the town and the beach. By 8am we had our room: we had not expected this, just wanted to leave our bags. The room was fine for a budget hotel. Breakfast was the same as in most budget hotels in Turkey - pleasant situation by the pool. The pool was great, as was the bar next to it: decent prices, cold beer and a friendly barman.

As long as you don't want a palace, I'd recommend this as a good place for short or longer visits to Bodrum.

First of all if you want stunning rooms and amazing 5 star luxury dont waste everyones time writing a review about how terrible it is here. This is a budget hotel with budget rooms, chipped tiles and many flaws. Do you holiday in your room??

Cleaning every day, fresh towels and sheets. Great air con which is needed. Fridge worked fine. Beds had new mattress and were comfortable to sleep. The toilet and shower worked no problem and sanitation was fine...did it look like a luxury health spa bathroom..no...do you holiday in the toilet?

All the staff were fantastic and very helpful. There was plenty at breakfast to eat eggs cheese, amazing bread, continental veg, olives etc and tea...did not change each day but neither do most breakfasts. The staff also made sandwiches if you were on an early trip.

Pool was excellent and even when we mentioned it was a little nippy on the eyes this was addressed immediately and the water drained. Fantastic service. Free wifi at the bar and lounge and just about reached the room.

The bar manager Chris is a legend. Entertained the wee boy every day and provided excellent service throughout the holiday. He made a good holiday and amazing one.

Kavala is cheap and cheerful and so is the price, the bad reviews here are a joke, and one final comment to show that it is the people that make a great holiday. on the last day the cleaner took all my clothes, washed and ironed them and handed them back for packing. I have stayed in luxury hotels that never did that. If you want luxury hotels go pay the price, if not enjoy your stay here.

On arrival you walk away from the main busy area of town, down some very dirty streets.
The hotel is located up an ally way with chickens and stray cats.
From the photos looks ok, but sadly its about as big as the photos, pool is in need of an update.
The best part of the whole experience is the BAR!! awesome amazing barman very friendly and saved me from going crazy in the hotel...
Customer service is on the short side.. even more so when mentioning problems!!
Sadly I left money in my room which someone took in exchange for new towels and loo roll.. not very happy about this!! When mentioned to management NOT very helpful..
Rooms VERY DIRTY!!! hair and marks on everything from the floors to the towels.. Rooms need renovating/ redecorating..
I would not stay here, many more hotels in the area,

Room Tip: book with Bodrum Blu

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in I know it's mega cheap but still this place needs a good re-vamp and a good update, bathroom wasn't safe our shower rail was being held up by a metal chain which was dodgily attached to the roof, swimming pool was filthy all green mould around outside not good when you have children , take my advice pay a bit more and stay elsewhere plenty of other hotels in bodrum this place is a shambles

Great service , friendly and helpful staff. Why book this hotel to complain as you get more than your money's worth for what I paid . I paid under £9 a day for a 2 week stay at this hotel with my boyfriend what a bargain otherwise put your money where your mouth is and book something else then there is no need in some of these reviews . People forgot how long these guys work for sometimes I Seen Kubi work over a 12 hour shift and leaves at half 10 ish and he is in the next morning at half 6 I couldn't do that he's so professional and a nice guy a long with the rest of the staff. Chris is just Chris he is some guy helped me a lot for my holiday and would like to stay in contact with the guy he's a legend. Please keep care of the baby kitten for us that is outside the hotel and new customer if your reading this please try to feed them if you can as there friendly and cute.
