If only for the views from the castle walls take time out to visit the castle. A restful day ambling around the castle plenty of information and loads of exhibits.
The shipwrecks are fascinating - worth the extra nominal fee.
The dungeon is not at all scarey and if you're a little unsteady on the old pins not worth the effort!! On the other hand the Snake Tower is fascinating it did however cause my son to comment "I didn't realise Ann Summers had been going that long!"
The small cafe is reasonable and the pizza very tasty.
