The mosque is the oldest one on Maldives. Unfortunately, it is covered with some metal sheets so does not look very interesting from the outside, so you need to go inside to appreciate its beauty.
Remember to take off your shoes and wash your feet before you enter. If you are none-muslim you can still enter as long as you wear proper clothes, i.e. no short skirts or sleeveless tops.
Inside you will see carved wood; outside - coral stones. There is information about the mosque near the entrance, so you can read the history of its creation.

If you are on maafushi island you will not miss any of its attractions since it is so small . You will anyway find them even if you are not looking for them. This one is good one in the middle of the island.

It’s location makes it easy to view from outside but more planning required if you want to visit inside.

Technically non-muslims must ask for permission before entering the mosque. However, if you are dressed properly (for women including a scarf) most likely you will be invited to come in. That's what happened to us. I was dressed in a long skirt and long sleeves (to avoid the sun) and I had a loose shawl with me. I simply wrapped the shawl on my head and was good to go in.

The mosque was there for really long time. It is a traditionally-built building with no nails used. Great if u love some historic and traditional architecture and engineering.
