Nice place with quality rooms, good facilities and good service.
Staff are very friendly but can tend to be 'overly friendly' that it comes out un-genunine
Surprise of the stay was to find the Hotel to be 'gay friendly' with gay guests cruising in the saunas and gym!!
A fellow sauna guest who strike up a conversation even said he brings back his local male friends to sleep overnight without the need to 'register' them. A bit suspect with the security here for non-guests staying overnight!

First time staying in a Hilton and was very impressed, beautiful hotel, great roof-top pool and chillout areas and the most amazing breakfast for both quality and choice, pancakes, sushi, pastries, full english etc, Good location near the train station, great views of KL from some of the rooms, amazing when there's lightning, which happened most nights we were there! only downside is that spa facilities are single sex (which is understandable given the country - faith / culture) but meant we didn't really use them. overal though a great place to stay.

We stopped over in KL over Chinese New Year for a reunion dinner with a part of my fiancees family before continuing further north and selected the Hilton because of their very attractive promotion rates which made it a better deal than the Traders we stayed in before. We were definitely glad we choose the Hilton this time.

The room had just the right size and all amenities that made our stay enjoyable. My fiancee particularly liked the bathroom, the open concept (sliding doors/walls towards the main room) and the rain forest shower in the shower cabin. The small TV screen in the bathroom which allows one not only to listen to the news but also to watch it while brushing teeth or shaving is also quite innovative.

The complimentary breakfast buffet was full of choices and delicious, though the restaurant was fully occupied the service was fast and efficient, no long waiting times.

The only downside (at least according to the local relatives) seems to be the location if one wants to explore KL, no attraction is in walking distance, one need to rely on the public transport, luckily the closest MRT station (KL Sentral) lies just opposite to the hotel.

Was working in KL CBD, and decided to stay an extra day and move out to the Hilton using my points. Let me say the location is...ok. It's a great transport hub, so you can get anywhere you want. However, I much prefer city center.

Check-In: Quick and efficient, staff very friendly, room upgraded
Room: Bed comfortable, furnishings neat and new. Seating area left a lot to be desired
Bathroom: Shower was nice, but not much privacy from the bed area.
Restaurants: Only ate satay by the pool, however it was delicious and reasonably priced.
Executive Lounge: Nice free spread and flowing drinks during happy hour; friendly staff
Spa: Excellent massage from a very nice Malay woman. Very reasonably priced.
Pool: Beautiful beautiful beautiful.

I would stay here again, but I do wish it were in the city center.

Just got back from spending 8 days at the Hiton in KL. We picked this hotel for a number of reasons. Firstly, we needed easy access to KL Sentral to get out to the Sepang track and the station and the KLIA Express, monorail and other city centre rail routes are all directly across the road at the station. Secondly, we wanted simple access to the city centre without having to stay right in the noise of the centre of the city. Thirdly, we also wanted a good pool where we could spend a few relaxing hours during our week's stay and it is worth noting that many of the city centre hotels have either a very small or no pool at all. For example ...Traders look like they have a reasonable pool but there is no sunbathing area and the pool area is surrounded by the sky bar. Mandarin Oriental pool is tiny.
When looking at Trip Advisor its always difficult to determine the location and accessibility from possible Hotels to many of the city's top attractions so I think it may be useful to mention that the Le Meridian and the Hilton Hotel stand side by side overlooking the City Lake Gardens - this is where you will find the Bird Park, the Butterfly Park, the Hibiscus Gardens, Orchid Gardens and Deer Park...definitely worth a visit to some of these or simply to have a walk through the park to experience the serenity and beauty of the jungle in the middle of the city.
Both hotels also share the same pool area. For the sunbathers amongst you who wish to catch a few rays whilst in KL it's worth mentioning that the sun is shaded from the pool area until approx 11:00 a.m. on the Hilton side...early afternoon on the Meridian side. At weekends, the pool area does get very busy particularly with business travellers who have flown in on the Friday in readiness for work the following week. There is a great water slide for kids and a paddling area on the Meridian side for small children.
We upgraded to a Deluxe Room and the only complaint we had during our stay was the 'sporadic' nature of the hot water... some days boiling hot..some days none at all.
We used the Noodle Bar, the Coffee Shop and the Boardwalk Restaurant around the pool. Food at the Noodle Bar was particularly good. Service at the Boardwalk Restaurant was average..sometimes very slow indeed.
Other than these minor complaints, we would recommend the Hilton to anyone - business and leisure travellers as well as families. It's location and wide ranging facilities certainly far outstrip those of other hotels in the centre of KL.
The only other comment to make is that taxi's can take up to 45 minutes to get into the town centre even in off-peak periods. The most expensive taxi ride we had was 50MR which was in the early hours of the morning using a 'blue' taxi back from Traders Hotel. When travelling back from the City Centre we would recommend the red & yellow or yellow taxi's as they are cheaper - always agree your price when you get in. If you barter well, you should be able to get them to accept 30MR or even 25MR if you are lucky.
If you want to go into KL - use the Monorail / Underground which is 1.60MR (less than 20 pence) each way per adult. Much quicker especially during rush hours (which can last until well past 8 p.m in evenings).
