“Peace and Serenity!”

This temple is located around the Chinatown/Petaling street area and is very beautiful.
The front facade is extremely unique and is a great spot to take pictures.
This place takes you by surprise as it is located in a street dominated by shops and is quite unexpected when you see it.There seems to be a level of calm surrounding it.
If you are shopping around Petaling street or Central Market than this is worth a visit.

“worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2012

This is one of the few Hindu temples in the heart of the old city and is also the home of the chariot used for the Thaipusam festival at Batu Caves. Temple has a very colourful entrance. Not a great deal to see inside, but its nice to wander around and see the statues and absorb the atmosphere. But even here commercialisation has caught up with religion and the back of the temple leads to shops!
You have to remove your shoes and leave them at the counter ouside, 20c fee.

Prior to visiting we did not know about the different ethnic groups living in Malayasia. It was our first time seeing an Indian temple and we were impressed by the colorfulness of it.
