Chose this hotel for it's prime location for my very first trip to Kuala Lumpur. Took KLIA Transit from Airport to Sentral (30 minutes ride) walked through the Shopping mall to get to the overhead bridge where you will walk across to reach Sentral Monorail Station. Hotel Royal is situated next to Bukit Bintang Monorail Station. Fee: RM2.10 and 15 minutes ride. You should be able to see Hotel Royal from the station. I took the overhead bridge to get to LOT 10, and took the escalator via Isetan Shopping to get to ground floor (There is no lift and I was lugging a luggage). Once out of the mall, turn left and you will see your hotel.

Hotel Royal has been refurbished late 2013/early 2014, so the most rooms are relatively new and refreshed. Rooms have your basic amenities and are well kept. There won't be any view on the lower floor and my room is facing LOT 10, just had my curtains drawn the whole time. You will find a lot of food stalls in LOT 10 but they don't serve the best local food, mainly for tourists. Sungei Wang Shopping Mall is just across the street and it's a 15 minutes walk to Alor (Food), Changkat (Clubs and Drinks) and Pavilion (Shopping). Such ideal location.

Good location within a short walk of the Petronas Towers, this is a comfortable and luxurious hotel in central KL. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous, room and bathroom spotlessly clean and comfortable. I'd happily stay here again.

Stayed the hotel for 4 days location is great my room was on 20th floor which has twin tower and city view very clear morn and evening city will made your day no doubt, room is clean and good enough but the employees of the hotel has no manners no good customer service they are not even professional they doesn't even care about the hote goodwill reception staffs to bell boy even security guys has no respect for their customers. Nice swimming pool based on 3rd of lift. Breakfast is so poor need upgrade with continental foods as we had in Bangkok and another's city's we travel to. For the hotel they deserve 5* but for their no manners I will only rate them 1*.
Hope will see the changes near future.

The room is stink of cigaret, i dont know, is my room is smooking room since the room is really smell bad, dont suite with family with children. my room in 11floor. Breakfast is bad, i dont know for others but no much option for breakfast, the taste didnt suite with me. The hotel had a good location. The staff, i dont know but i dont feel they serve me sincere. I also dont think the room is clean, what i really like from this hotel just location.

Had my function in the hotel 20 & 21 December 2014. The staff here are professional from the front reception to the banquet staff. My function went well as the staff were helpful and was on hand to help during my function. The newly renovated rooms were great however food was only fair in the coffee house. Will definitely use this hotel again for my functions as well as for my personal weekend retreat. Kudos to the staff of Hotel Royal KL.
