Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thank you Chef for an unforgettable meal. World class beef, the cuts were perfect. I loved the top blade cuts the best, so flavoursome and rich taste. Chef asked my home town, painted a picture on a plate of the Niagara Falls for my dessert!...The peach sake is now my favourite drink, subtle and delicate. All in a private little room, with excellent service. I was treated like royalty!! Do yourself a favour and visit this gem of a restaurant for fine dining at its best.More

This is our 3rd time at M and we always dine here when we are in Osaka to celebrate special occasions. I made sure 1 month before our trip to reserve a table on the day of our wedding anniversary. We came early and we...were assisted to our table. First surprise is the sweet note greeting us on our anniversary. This is a nice gesture and we really appreciate it. We ordered their Omakase platter, beer and garlic rice and they were all yummy and delicious. Thank you to Chef Yoshi san and Risia and Afifa for your recommendations and for making our dining experience special. They checked on us from time to time and attended to all our requests. When we finished our meal, Chef Yoshi san sent something to us, a surprise dessert treat! So sweet of you and the rest of the staff. He even had a sake drink with my husband. The sake was not that strong and my husband really liked it. Thank you to Chef Yoshi san. We really appreciate everything and so far this is our best dining experience at M because of you and the rest of the staff. Wish you more more years serving new and loyal customers. Keep it up!More

We had an unforgettable experience here for our group of 6. We had a private room/table for us to experience. The quality of the food was out of this world. Beyond that, the staff went above and beyond to get to know us, where we're...from (Milwaukee), and what our story was. We had mentioned that my partner and I, a gay couple, recently got engaged. At the end of the meal, they not only decorated the dessert plate in a Milwaukee theme (especially impressive given it's not a known City all the way in Japan), but also brought out sparklers to celebrate our engagement, including rainbows on the plate and a pride flag that they waved in celebration for us. We weren't sure exactly how our relationship would be received, so to be celebrated so joyously was truly astounding. One of the best memories I'll ever have. The floor manager Natsuki Shima made it all happen. I'd recommend this place to anyone!More

Waygu beef was one of the things we wanted to try on the trip. With Resturant specializing in Matsusaka waygu beef we had to give it a go. We were able to secure reservation at the Namba branch. Since it was our first time we...tried the platinum and premium set course (difference with platinum had an extra course of steak) and iy was outstanding. Features variety of different cuts of Matsusaka beef and different marinate - they bring the plates in order the Resturant believe it should be serve - but basically it comes with increasing level of tenderness and taste. All were delicious. Our favorites were the Yakishabu (Loin-ribeye) and Sukiyaki slide (Sirloin Steak) both were butter like melt in your mouth tender with full flavors - incredible. Highly recommend itMore

Ever since my daughter Mika saw a food vlog on wagyu, she wanted to try them. It's our 2nd time to eat here and as always, the wagyu is delish. The hospitality of everyone here is also highly recommended. We dined here during Halloween, and...aside from treats, they asked Mika who her favorite character was. Mika was overjoyed when they gave her desert on a special Kuromi-designed plate. When we were leaving, they let her keep the plate as a souvenir. She hugged all the staff including Chef and kept bowing and saying Arigato gozaimas ❤️ Thank you Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M for making Mika's first wagyu experience very memorable.More

Excellent Matsusaka meat restaurant, rather upscale. The menu we took included several dishes, based on meat to be tasted sometimes raw, sometimes grilled. The whole dinner was really delicious from start to finish. The restaurant is organized in small private air-conditioned rooms, and our waitress,...Minh, was very kind to us (impeccable English). Another big point to this restaurant's credit: some establishments in Osaka turned us away because they refuse children (our daughter is 12), this is not the case with Yakiniku M Hozenjiyokocho which is very suitable for couples or families. We will come back there !More

This was my first time trying Matsusaka beef and it was melt in your mouth fantastic! We tried a variety of different cuts which were all great, but the sirloin and rib-eye stood out. I also appreciate Kuni, the boss, helping me out when I...said I had a gluten allergy. He provided gluten free soy sauce and modified a few marinated dishes. He also helped start the meal off, showing us the correct way to cook the beef. The waitstaff were all helpful and attentive and the side dishes were also great. I will definitely return next time in Japan.More

Our first time here at Yakiniku M Hozenjiyokocho and it was one of the best dinning expressions we've ever had. The Wagyu beef platter is the finest there is. The beef simply melts in your mouth. Our server, Mr Takeo is passionate about beef and...took great pains to explain each different beef cut to us and how best to grill them. Definitely a great time dinning there! Kudos to Takeo for his excellent service.More

I would say it's child friendly, but I am not sure if the menu is. I did not notice any smell from cigarettes myself, but they might have certain booths where smoking is allowed.
