Positioned slap bang in the middle of what seems to be a major re-claimed island in Osaka Bay, directly opposite Kobe City, affording great views and fabulous sunset potential (see later), it is a very large uber modern high-rise (31 Floors) bed factory.
Unfortunately it is also surrounded by docks, cargo cranes, container cranes, ferries, a University Campus, a new train/tram line and station, and a plethora of new roads, bridges and over & under-passes, so one is also in a Concrete Jungle, albeit a clean one - Japan is (and how).
Getting into the City was either by Taxi, Train or their own Courtesy Bus. Taxis were expensive. Trains a pain to figure out (for non-Japanese speaking Tourists - us), so their Free Courtesy Bus proved really useful, but it did not run late for Returnees from Dinners in the City. We had 3 night at this Hotel, so used the Service a lot, & can also confirm it is after a while, a somewhat repetitive and tiresome journey. The novelty did not last.
Hotel itself is very large indeed - 740+ Rooms with awesome views, if you are on the City-side, 6/7 Restaurants, 4/5 Bars and a Gym with pool - 'Members Only Club', so unless you paid a hefty Daily Fee - Off Limits. Shame that was not apparent from their web site.

Breakfast was terrific, if at the wrong time, a lot crowded, in their Dining Room on the top floor, facing the City, so fabulous views.
This is a superb sundowners spot to enjoy a cocktail or whatever at the end of a long day of sight seeing, except it isn't. It is closed to all but Diners until after the sun has gone down. The evening that I looked, there were 4 in the Restaurant with a capacity of 50/60. The bar could have been solid with Paying Guests, but wasn't.
Good and comfortable night's sleep, but the place lacks a personal touch and ambience. It is a bit sterile and functional, so Very Good, but it really could be Excellent. There's nothing much out here except the Hotel, so it should give Guests a compelling reason to stay and spend their time and money there.
